Worked great

I bought these for restoring furniture, needing an alternative to metal-based scrubbers. This had all the abrasiveness I needed, but it doesn't rust. I've found it lasts longer than the heavier, scratchier, metal-based versions. This is a great addition to my battery of stripping tools.

Wife uses as a kitchen scouring pad. Since it's synthetic, no rust & lasts a long time. If used with reasonable downward pressure, it will not scratch the surface of a metal pot or pan. Perfect!!

Worked better than I expected. I used it to remove surface rust from a gun barrel and to smooth out a tough spot on an old wooden stock. Did not have the usual problem with steel wool of it sticking into the tips of my fingers. Also used the steel wool to clean old pocket knives. With a little WD-40 sprayed on the blades I was able to clean everything off each knife and nd saa she then look good again without undue scarring on the blades. This product is a must have in a handyman toolbox.

This pad worked perfectly for lightly sanding between the coats of paint when painting a chair. I did not experience any shredding and felt it worked so much better than regular steel wool for this project.

Too expensive.

scuffs up the surface of stained and poly'd wood between each coat, without really taking off too much. Works really well.

Like the Synthetic Steel Wool doesn't leave pieces of steel.

I refinish guitars, it's my hobby. Dulling the finish on a guitar body or any other surface, between coats of spray paint or coats of clearcoat is touchy, dicey business. (I use Rustoleum rattlecan products exclusively). Research lead me to try these Norton artificial steel wool, 0 grit equivalent pads. They are perfect!! I can dull the previously painted or clearcoated surface without fear of " sanding" through. AND these pads do NOT leave visible scratches. They completely eliminate the only two problems or dangers that exist in prepping surfaces between coats!!! Use them DRY. No wet sanding.
