Nice product and easy to install. Not sure about the material the straps are made of. They appear to be soaking up water and I'm afraid they will not last a long time.

The straps were easy to install. Lay them out on the pole, peel and stick the velcro (my product was missing the velcro attachment. I considered returning it but found some in the ole "junk drawer.") I attached the straps to the velcro, then clipped it onto the pool cover—Simple and sturdy. I would purchase this product again. The straps are cloth; I recommend that when summer is over, remove the straps and store them out of the weather for next season.

I’m a swimming pool company owner and these things are legit. I replace Velcro with tech stews and stainless steel washers for a better hold to the reel. Beside that great product!

UPDATED: Even worse that original. Zero stars. Besides the prior problem of not-closing clips, the placement of the clips on the edge of the liner along with the heft and thickness of them make them so that they catch on the coping, meaning that unlike all ever cover straps we've had in our pool, with THESE and only these, you CANNOT wind the cover up onto the cover reel. The clips get stuck and you're pulling against your coping. The only remedy is to walk to each clip in turn and un-stick it from catching on the coping while a second person helps you wind the cover up. Another major design failure. And to solve the prior problem, I finally had to install aluminum rivets through the clips that kept popping open. ORIGINAL REVIEW: The plastic wrap-around-and-snap shut cover clips are unique design that traps the edge of the cover and provides a solid piece of plastic for the straps to pull on. But... they don't work. COMPLETE FAILURE! I wrapped my cliips around my cover, made an indentation with the spike, then moved the clip out of the way and punctured a small hole in my solar cover blanket, then enlarged it just a bit. Replaced the clip and snapped it shut, to a weak, insufficient sounding almost-"click." Proceeded down the line to install other clips and straps. 30 seconds later, "SNAP!" the clip popped open. Went back and clicked it shut. Another minute later, it snapped open. Two clips later, the same thing happens again. This product may have good intentions, but as designed is unfortunately just a waste of money. The rest of the straps seem to be OK, although it appears that the hook-and-loop fastener is sewn to the strap with the absolute minimum number of stitches possible. Bad design. Not recommended.

Good replacement for my slide in straps. Was concerned with the tape and Velcro but they are very strong.

These straps were easy to install and gripped nicely to the solar cover material with only a pressure clasp. I also like the fact that the clasp has a rotating knuckle off the strap for the areas where the cover is not parallel to the roller. I did not use the Velcro strips to my roller, I simply installed self tapping screws through the Velcro to ensure they don’t detach.

These are horrible. I’ve tried every way possible to get them to stay onto the solar cover. It’s a heavy duty cover, and the clips have no gripping power even when I use things to put in between the grip still come apart, and the Velcro doesn’t work it’s a low-grade Velcro

La clip alligator disloque constamment. Ça fait 3 fois que je les retrouve en 2 morceaux dans le fond de ma piscine. C'est dommage car le produit semblait bien fait.

I received these straps a months ago, I thought I would wait to post a review. The product seems like a great product but after just two weeks the clips are not holding . The back of the area where the Clip fits in pops out making it useless. (Softer plastic ) Complete waste of money!!!

Not happy with quality /strength of the items one broke while closing. The remainder of the pack worked well enough for now anyways.
