Depends on how often you empty your compost
I really wanted these to be great, since they would have served a really nice purpose. But as it stands now, almost any moisture when left in for more than 24 hours will eat away at the bag and cause it to break. We could empty our compost more often, which would make this highly effective, but with the speed of our lives and the number of stairs we have to go down to get outside, it's just not practical to empty our compost more often than once every 4-5 days. If you empty your compost regularly, I'm sure these are a big help. But for us, they're only ok - useful when we have a lot of dry compost, not so much when we have any wet.

Actually got me to compost kitchen waste instead of throw in garbage
I can see why people would have a problem putting VERY wet compost into these bags, but I'm on my second box of 25...and still haven't had one break on me, even when I DO put in wet garbage. It helps to take the entire kitchen composter out to the compost bin, and take the bag out in one swoop, don't give it a chance to break on you. Again, I've had no problems with them, and since I am finally actually, for real, composting my kitchen compost, I would call these bags a HUGE success.

Almost perfect.
These are great. I really like having bags in my counter top bin so I don't feel the need to scrub it out everything's I empty it. The only downside is that since these bags are comparable they do stay to degrade pretty rapidly. Make sure you take these out at least once a week or you may find that you only have the top of a bag and the same old nurse in the bottom of the bin.

Helps to keep crock clean!
I like that these bags help to keep my compost crock clean. I'm not able to pull it out to carry to the compost pile, because they rip or the bottom disintegrate before I get them out. I will continue to use them, just for the fact I don't have to scrub my crock between each use while having them in there!

They're working fine. They do break down after a few days if you put wet stuff in them, but it's a compostable bag... It's just going to do that. I'd buy more of these. Jury is still out on whether it's going to break down in my compost bin though. I'll update this review later.

great for collecting kitchen scraps to go to the compost ...
great for collecting kitchen scraps to go to the compost bin. Only thing I don't like is that they are very thin and it seems that moisture seeps through to the pail. Very little, though - just enough to require a rinse after emptying the pail. The fact that they are compostable makes up for that.

Big enough and biodegradable
I love using bags for some of my compost such as coffee grounds that tend to make the container a mess. This size is large enough to use in a general use compost bin. Be aware that they do take at least 6 months (or more) to break down and look like plastic in the compost pile or garden if not buried. Also note that these bags are biodegradable and so will completely breakdown in the pile or garden while other bags are recyclable but not biodegradable. In short you are spending some money to save you some mess and cleaning.

After you learn their strengths and weaknesses you compensate and they work pretty well!
I found that if you overstuff them they lose strength and could break! And if they get very moist in the container they sort of disintegrate and break. You then need to empty them into another bag. After you learn their strengths and weaknesses you compensate and they work pretty well!
