Geloo 240-33ohm 12" Marine Fuel Sending Unit - Gas Tank Sender with Fuel Gauge - Water Level Sensor (300mm) for Car and Boat

Excellent sending unit! I built a 42 Ford cabover truck and used a 1949 Chevy truck fuel tank (GM55A). This sending unit fit perfect. The holes lined up perfect with zero modification. I used the 11”. It’s great that they offer this unit in every length. The gauges I’m using require 240-33 ohms. I can’t believe how perfect this sending unit fits and works for my setup. This will be my go-to sending unit for all my builds going forward. Would be awesome if they made them in other ohms as well.

Worked intermittently for a few days. Would show correctly for a few minutes then zero. Now only shows a half tank regardless of the level. If yours acts goofy, even once, return it as it’s probably the sender, not your gauge.

Physically looked good but didn't function properly. If you buy one, test it with your wiring and gauge first before installing in the tank. My particular sender unit worked proportionately until just under 1/2 level, then indicated the same level until the float was moved to empty. Presumably, some of the reed switches didn't work properly near the bottom. Returned/replaced with another popular make sender and the gauge/sender indicate as they should.

I purchased a 250mm 240-33ohm version. The construction of this sensor is actually very good. It is indeed made of stainless steel, and has a good quality pigtail on it. As some others have mentioned, there are actually only 5 discrete resistance values for various level ranges, and the lowest 2 readings I get are 0 and 1/4 tank. Ultimately I don't think this is much of a problem, as in a boat, you should consider less than 1/4 tank empty anyway. I used this in a golf cart, and I will likely be purchasing another one for my other cart.
