Perfect for my outdoor cooking area. I have a propane grill, a flat top griddle and a smoker on my back patio that doesn't get any light from our only patio light. I mounted this on a stucco wall just above the cooking area and it's perfect. I specifically looked for a wireless solar light that could be controlled manually and not solely on motion sensors. This is motion controlled but you can turn off that function easily to use manual on/off. Love that it comes with a remote control that can do everything. Great product and exactly what I was looking for .

8.19.25 This is a great light. I took a way a star because the remote does not work at all, completely dead. I tested the battery and it pegged the needle in the green arc. I will fiddle with the remote/manual controls to see if I can get it to work. The only reason I care is that I have to use a ladder to reach the fixture to use the manual controls. Notes: The unit does have a photocell, but the description in the Amazon listing does not say so. It will turn on and off based on outdoor daylight. The arm has a shallow 3D array of splines that help hold the arm in position, but you need be careful inserting the arm into the mount and fixture so that you follow the spline path that suits the angle you need.8.21.25 No luck with the remote, still inop. I did look inside the slot for the battery, and it does have a printed circuit board with some solder connections, so it seems like a genuine item.

My favorite things about this light:1. Motion sensor detects my small dog. I have mounted the light about 15-20 feet above the ground and my 4 lb Pom-Chi still activates the light! I was worried she would be too small but it's perfect.2. Mode 1 is exactly what I was looking for, very dim light all night long, brightens when motion activated. So it iluminates when my dogs walks near so I can see them in the yard at night.3. The brightness level was more than I expected.4. I live in the country so this is a great way to be alerted that an animal/person/car has approached the house at night.5. Assembly and mounting was ridiculously easy.The only thing lacking was the choice for how long the light stays illuminated once activated. Currently it stays on for about 15-20 seconds but I would like it to stay on for about a minute. This may actually be an option and I just haven't figured it out yet.Overall I highly recommend these lights and I purchased several more to be put around he perimeter of my home. With the brightness level I would probably place them every 20-30 feet so that the entire exterior can be lit with no dark zones.

As for a cheap light it flips the bill. All the Functions worked fine easy to install and very bright. One thing I did not like about them and it also was a dealbreaker is that there is no way these things are weatherproof. The plastic seam were the 2 half's of the cover is is separated at a few points around the perimeter of the light A perfect spot for water intrusion. We had A moderate amount of rain the other day so I decided to take one down and take it apart to see how wet it might be inside well it was wet not flooded wet but definitely not meeting up to what they claim it does And the industry standard for water intrusion. I now started a return on these lights and have purchased another brand which I know better as I already have a few of them now and they actually seal with a rubber gasket. Remember one thing is everybody complains oh it's made in China that's why the quality so bad remember this more than likely it's an American company that owns this product and outsources it to China with the full blueprints on how to make this product so don't be so quick to say oh I'm sticking with buying American products they're making stuff just as cheap and outsourcing it to China so trying to get the blame. China is only going to make what they're told to make and what the blue print shows and the quality as what they're told by the companies that on this product more than likely a US company. So basically what I'm trying to say is to look very closely at the products you get not just from Amazon. Or from other retailers and don't be afraid to return if you don't like it return it. Otherwise than that the lights were good they function properly I just don't think that they will last with a water intrusion situation with electronics.

When I first bought this light I was really excited. Mounted on my fence by my BBQ for night cooking. Turn off after each use. I don’t cook that much so when I went out the other night and attempted to turn my light on I was very disappointed to find it dead.It is super disappointing since I had purchased one for my son for his BBQ.Was nice for a month anyway. Won’t be buying another one and nothing from the seller.UPDATE:So the light wasn’t working anyway, I decided to take the light apart. Once I did I found a battery that had swollen to the point of no return. Taking a chance that nothing else has damaged the rest of the light, I ordered a new battery. That did the trick. The light is working again and have it on my fence once more. I have purchased several different solar powered lights and I have never had a light where the battery had exploded.We'll see how long this battery lasts.

These lights are great! I have bought and returned many lights around my property due to lighting or performance issues. I initially bought two for my chicken coop and they have worked flawlessly for the past year. I recently purchased 4 more and so far have been as good as the original 2. Easy to install, lightweight, and dependable.
