The title of the write-up says "Set of 4," but the text says "set of three." How many are actually in the set?

Do they come in a nice box?

They arrived to me in a 4 x 3 x 3.5 hard cardboard (very protective) box with a cardboard liner inside. The exterior has the Portmeriron insignia around the outside just like all of their dinnerware.
