Easy to Install
I love this throttle lock.My dad has the same for his C50 and it has lasted him 10 years. It was pretty easy to install. You just have to take your time and read the instructions. I had to move my master cylinder, but that was easy. The two most difficult parts are first, trimming the rubber down to size. You have to cut it in half, I just used my freshly sharpened pocket knife. It wasn’t too difficult. But also, pinching the lock together while trying to connect the thumb switch to the arm. A second set of hands would really help with that.Overall, it is a great cruise control, throttle lock, or whatever you want to call it for the price. I have seen similar systems for 20% more.

Good product, you need it.
Installed on a 97 Honda ACE 1100 Shadow. This is my second one of these, the first went on a Yamaha Virago. Both were fairly simple installs. The hardest part on the Honda was trimming the length of the right grip to accommodate the width of the locking piece. On the Yamaha, I just moved the grip out, but the Honda has a screw on cap at the end, so the rubber part needed trimming. A single edge razor blade did the trick. Expect to spend about an hour installing it and getting it set right. Very nice for getting some feeling back in your throttle hand on those longer rides. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.

Functional
I got my Vista Cruise Control yesterday and put it on. Took about an hour but I got it. There was an issue with the rubber insert around the ring that grips the throttle but I figured out a way to do it with my Kuryakyn ISO grips. They supplied a few different rubber insert sizes that I had to trim to fit on both ends of the ring that goes around the throttle but I got it to work.It works fine. I can see that it might require some maintainance with crud and dirt getting in there then having to clean it and lube it but it should last a while. The looks are not that great but it is functional. May have to keep a tool handy to adjust the nut as things have a tendency to wear. Overall though it is functional and a welcome relieve to my throttle hand for a reasonable price.

I love mine
It went on a 2007 Suzuki BoulevardI was on the verge of buying one of the 4x the price others, but realized they all function similar, so I opted to save my money and try this, and I’m glad I did. I really like the way this one actually holds the grip, not wedged in between or into the end of the handlebar like the others. It was a bit of a beast getting the rubber over my grip and into the collar, but I was finally able to without trimming anything. I can say that this thing just works. I’ve got it adjusted and that was pretty easy, and it holds well plus allows me to still turn it while engaged to increase or decrease speed if needed. I fully recommend this

Okay for the money, but I'm not that huge a fan of it being on my bike.
I think the price is good and this does work. The good:I like how I can take my hand off the throttle and move my hand and arm around a bit.I like how this is fairly cheap to buy.I like how it didn't take much work to install. The bad:I don't really like how this looks on the bike, kind clunky and ugly.More significantly I really dislike how much hand grip space I lose to this, it actually reduces the comfort of my throttle grip for me.The idea of being able to lock the throttle is a good one, but I'll be buying a bar-end type throttle lock at some point and removing this thing.

It does the job - doesn't look great but it won't break the bank either.
This is a great inexpensive add on that will come in handy on long trips when you need a little relief, Installation was simple and the directions are thorough. You can also find step-by-step videos online if you need it.I have a modified 01 Honda Shadow with Avon grips and it fit very well after trimming the thinner rubber as directed on the instructions.I know it doesn't look amazing but most people barely notice it. I also know it doesn't come off when you hit the brakes in case of emergency like its 180$ counterparts... but you can easily unlock it - or you can slide the throttle back even with it still locked, or just pull the darn clutch in and apply the brakes as you would in any emergency. There are more than one way to stop/slow down a bike. Sure your bike will rev high for an instant if you pull the clutch in with the throttle locked... but you won't crash - not because of the product, at least. There are several more expensive versions of this product but i was OK saving that money for other things. This product is what I expected. An inexpensive way to let me move my right hand away from the throttle (or both hands for some "Look, Mom! No hands!" pictures - I'm not suggesting it but let's be honest, we've all done it).

Disappointed, does not work.
Mine was very difficult to install as I had to use the smallest sized spacer, which required trimming, which was not easy as it could not be trimmed smoothly with siccors. It was also very difficult to get the rubber spacer between the handle grip and the black plastic ring. I finally got it all put together and it either sticks when released or doesn't hold; there is no middle ground or perfect functional sweet spot. I'm disappointed after having read so many great reviews. I really expected better.

Great low cost throttle Lock
I bought this throttle lock after having one years ago on a Goldwing. You can't beat the performance for the money. I had put a Throttle Meister on a FJR I had about a year ago, I really wasn't crazy about the operation of it. The Universal Vista Cruise is much easier to operate, easier to install and about 120.00 less in price. Some guys say it looks cheap, I disagree. It is hardly noticeable. I put it on a Honda Shadow Sabre, I think it looks fine. The important thing is, it really works well. If you want a functional throttle lock to make cruising more comfortable, you can't go wrong with the Vista Cruise.
