Both my son (3) and I can wear this hat. It's a pretty cool addition to your costume. My son wore it for a few hours:1. Pretty durable. He dropped it multiple times and it didn't crack, break, or loose it's shape.2. Feels like legit straw3. Because of #2, you may have some irritability in your scalp because of the straw; we took breaks with the hat off because it felt a little scratchy.4. To remedy #3, put some kind of lining (I used an old bandana) in the hat to avoid the scratchy feeling.

Package arrived a little later than advised but still made it on time. Love the hat! Ordered for an adult and fit perfect. Just what I was looking.

The hat is fine. I bought it as a gag gift. The best part about it was the patch, but mine didn’t come with one!

Perfect Hoosier country bumpkin hat! Roomy fit for adults. Mine had blue patch and reen feather. Would be easy to change out feather and/or apply different felt or cotton quilt patch to match your theme but this worked great as an easy costume prop for our log cabin bicentennial celebration photo booth.

I just received this hat today & was disappointed to find that it was missing the feather & the "patch" is a square piece of purple felt.It is also pretty large so I would not recommend this hat for a child. For the price, it will work (I purchased it for a scarecrow costume), but I wouldn't buy it again. Overall, I received a large, straw hat with a square piece of felt on it (no feather) & for the price, I will keep it.
