This is the second of my first time writing a review. Yes it is true, the smell from the bag is horrible.when I say the bag it just spot to me and said "I'm for you!"I I love unique and wearable art. That's what this bag is. I labored with it and found a way to remove the odor. First I used odor eater - you know the spray for stinky sneakers. Well that just cmasked the odor for a minute. Then I tried Febreze. Febreze tried but this odor is tough. Amazon sells these charcoal filled mini bags. I put eight bags inside the main compartment. I then put a a charcoal bags one in each of the smaller compartment of the bag except the extra small pockets. I left the bag closed for about a week. I left it on a chair near the window. I checked it after a week and the odor was completely gone. All you could smell was pure leather. HURRAY! I was determined to keep this bag because it is so beautiful and you won't see everybody with one. I am often asked :Where did you get that bag?" It dresses/classses and turns up any outfit.) I use it wearing Jeans, or with a solid colored suit ( White, Red. Navy Blue, Black ) and accessorize with Jewelry that comes out of the bag which are many. You can wear leather or patent shoes and it will work. It is season-less. I chose the calmer colored bag with the most colors in it, not the real bright multi - color. Thats just my style. If you like extra bright then go for it. The bag is worth its weight in gold and is timeless. You can overcome the odor challenge and you will be so glad you did. The handles are a black and gold rope style and I must say the bag is strong! It hold my large Bible, Song Book, Portfolio,Ipad, Phone, Keys, and a pair of ballet flats for church. Lastly the carbon bags are good for anywhere that you have mildew or odor like the laundry bag, hamper, under the sink, sweaty sneakers. The bags are washable - let air dry. I hope that you are blessed by the review and not afraid to buy the bag.

After reading the reviews I was ready to deal with a smelly bag. Mine arrived today - there is no discernible smell at all. Maybe the manufacturer took the reviews to heart and corrected whatever the smell issue was. Anyway - the bag is a showstopper. Absolutely gorgeous. And wonderfully large. And roomy. With many separate pockets inside. And very lightweight. And a great value for the money. The handles are beautiful all by themselves but provide a nice workable drop. This bag makes me want to travel. And makes me smile just looking at. Buy it - you will not be disappointed with its functionality, design and colorful stripes. This bag will be the bright spot in your day.

The colors were bright as pictured but the horrible odor was outrageous. Couldn’t even have the box in the house. Certainly not a leather smell and it can’t be described. Very large.

I had ordered a Segater Boston multicolored tote bag. I read after the reviews saying it had a bad odor. I was prepared to send it back, but once it arrived, I found it to have only a mild smell of leather. It was also more pretty than the pictures. It does not have a shiny patten leather look, but a nice tone of regular leather. So, pleased to say I am keeping it. I don't write to many reviews but hate to see someone miss out on these nice totes or purse's because they are fearful it may smell So; they must have changed how they make them.

The multicolor is beautiful. The purse also has a lot of room. The negative side is when I received the purse the inside smelled like mold. I have been trying to air the purse out with little luck.

I like the uniqueness of the bag

I love this bag! It’s gorgeous ! It does have alittle odor but I just let it air out out for a day or so . It’s just a treated leather item. I’ve had lots of compliments on it.

This bag is AMAZING! It’s really big and roomy. The quality seems very good. The colours are beautiful. One thing…the scent of the leather is quite strong. BUT I highly recommend this bag.

Such a pretty purse, I thought perfect for travel. The smell hit me as soon as I opened the box or even took it out of the plastic. Plus if using the long strap, the 2 shorter straps stand up they’re in the way when not in use they don’t lay flat on the purse, they look ridiculous when using the shoulder strap.
