Kimono Silk Thread - Spring Collection

Kimono Silk is a great brand of thread. These colors are as vibrant and true as it shows on the website. Good price.

This thread is perfect for hand applique work and English paper piecing. The spools are generously loaded and are true silk, not "silk". Advantages are a super fine thread, fewer knots than cotton or polyester thread, and less wear on the strand, so it's possible to us a longer thread on each needle- this definitely saves time loading up needles when working on a bigger project. If these things are helpful, I will add that using a Clover 10-needle holder to hold onto 10 threaded needles at a time is another time saver. Thread 10 needles at once and sew for an hour without threading nother needle. Efficient.
