5 Gram (approx 27-35 beads) bag of: Navajo Ghost Beads - Cedar Berries with holes. Cedar berries are gathered by members of the Navajo Nation in Arizona for the creation of ghost bead jewelry and crafts. The people are assisted by Ants, who nibble off one end of the berry and eat the meat. The craftspeople need only punch a hole in the other end to string berries on a cord with colorful beads. The harmony that results from the interconnection of earth, tree, animal and human is believed to ensure tranquility and keep evil spirits away from the wearer. We have a lot of customers who find them particularly healing in times of hardship and life-altering illness such as cancer. It is said to ward off evil and many feel calm by just incorporating them in many different ways. Due to the nature of this product, the beads range in size from about 4mm-8mm Review: Good quality - So expensive, but I am loving using these for jewelry. They add the perfect natural touch to bracelets and earrings. Go great with leather and turquoise. Review: these are great beads, do not hesitate to get some - I have been searching for these beads on my own during trips to Northern AZ and have found a few. They are wonderful to find but even better to get from a good source. I make bracelets and these ghost beads are perfect. Shown is a 5 gram pack and the 2 bracelets I made and extra beads for next one. I use an Emory board/fingernail file to get a few of the beads even on the end, easy. Each and every bead is good to use. Do not hesitate to get some for yourself.
