This book was lovely! Gave as a Xmas gift and we all took turns looking at it after it was opened. The book has beautiful images and great inspirational ideas that actually look doable. Highly recommend to anyone who loves a beautiful pie!

I am new to pie making a little nervous and was so very excited to get this book it was an excellent purchase the colors are beautiful the pages and paper are excellent the cover everything is so colorful and wonderful and a great resource to learn pies decorating and recipes a must read

What a terrific book. The author shows you how to make some lovely and creative pieces of edible art. Not only are there step-by-step instructions, there are also templates that you can copy in the back of the book. The designs fire your imagination where after duplicationg the pies shown in the book, you can go off and explore new possibilities on your own.I can't wait to try out freeze dried powdered blueberries to color dough. There are so many available flavors & colors like mulberry, strawberry, even beets! Recently, I've seen recipes turning sliced root vegetables & fruit into roses for pies & tarts. Why not use these freeze dried powdered fruits & vege's to add color to tint & color these and even pastry cut-outs instead of gel food colorings. It's worth a shot, wish me luck. I'm hoping to add color and flavor to potato roses, etc...Would I give this book as a gift? Yes, there's always a cook in your life that would love new and proven ideas for a special dinner, pot-luck, or even a gift for your local police or fire department for the holidays. Most people forget our 1st responders over the holidays. Or even just to make your family smile when they see it, just before they demolish it. In my opinion, the book was a good investment for an addition to my cookbook collection.

Ok, the photos are great, and the tips very useful. But IMHO the book is best purchased as an inspirational book. There are a million pie and pie crust recipes …. Many excellent.If this book didn’t have a single recipe, I would still have purchased it. The ideas and techniques are really helpful. I am an experienced baker… but never made lattice pies because they are fussy and often, and exercise in frustration and futility. This year, success … easily, using the books techniques.In addition to the practical aspect, there are just LOTS of ideas. And yes, right now, those same ideas are on Pinterest, but in 5 years, they will be gone, and the inspiration with them.

This a beautiful book. There are some nice recipes and many photographs of artistic pies. There are also some patterns to make leaves and flowers. The suggestions for assembling an artistic-looking pie are helpful.

It really is a beautifully photographed book with amazing pie crust designs. Somewhat intimidating but I definitely will be planning to try a few of these designs. I haven't tried their recipe for the pie crust. I like my own recipe so I plan on comparing the two. I don't want to sacrifice taste and flaky texture for an intricate design with a tough crust. So, I will get back to you when I have the opportunity to experiment.

Beautiful pictures for decorating your pie. Recipes are good but this book is really about making the pies appearance amazing!

I bought this for my sister who is the family’s pie baker. She read it cover to cover, took notes and purchased some new baking tools. She’s recreated several of the pies and swears it has the BEST pie crust recipe she’s EVER used.

Excelente libro con ilustraciones e instrucciones precisas, aunque algunos ingredientes como los colorantes naturales en polvo son difíciles de conseguir en México, pero se pueden encontrar sustitutos. Fue un regalo y de lo mejor, quedó muy contenta la persona.

Liebe das buch! Sehr schön gemacht. Mal sehen wie gut die Rezepte aufgebaut sind aber der Aufbau so wie bei einem bastelbuch finde ich toll und hilfreich. Und ich mag das eher quadratische Format- mal was anderes!
