Q: Is this kit worthless since its not copper,but cheap copper clad aluminum?

Copper clad aluminum is to prevent the wire from corrosion. Depending on what the wire is used for it may be better. In my case I am installing this on a 30' sundanser ( a 30 foot boat) and it stays in the water. The clad aluminum will help keep the humidity from corroding the battery terminal. And using some dielectric grease on the connections will also help stop corroding.

Q: I hooked everything up right amp is getting power but no sound from sub someone told me that it could be the rca cables?

It's possible, but there are many reasons you may have no sound. You will need to troubleshoot your installation to resolve or determine the problem. This cable has a low defect rate.

I think it would work but take this in consideration this is copper clad aluminum so it wont last as much as pure coper wire.
