If you weld/fabricate, this is the apron for you! Very tough roughout leather. The pockets are small, but perfect for holding spare tig electrodes or a small vernier caliper or ruler. This apron has withstood heavy grinding/welding on a project and fully protected my clothing underneath. It’s a little heavy, but that is why it’s so good!

This apron worked great for metal cutting. It’s large but has buckles for easy-on, easy-off. I also use it when I use my planer because it keeps the wood chips off of my clothes and they don’t stick to the apron. Very happy with my purchase.

Works fine to keep the "black" off you clothes for blacksmithing, but it sheds fiber/fuz on your clothes and it's fairly thin. Should be expected considering how cheap they are though. Wish it was just a bit wider, but I'm also a broader than average person.

This apron is wonderful it safes a lot of holes in my clothes from grinding.

Fits as should

I work with base metals and often solder, anneal and enamel with torches. I also cut, polish and on occasion grind base metals, and work with various paints and chemicals. I was wearing regular aprons and also tried some waterproof aprons before this one and found that either they were too thin to protect my clothing under it or my skin from chemicals and/or flying pieces of metal. Though I am very careful and take all necessary safety precautions, I needed an apron that would protect me from any incidental singing (as in burning) or damage to my clothing or skin that was not heavy or cumbersome to wear. This apron is thick enough to protect, but not heavy to wear. Instead of having to tie it around my neck and waist and adjust it so it is the right height and just right around my waist, this apron has adjustable straps that just click into place. With other aprons either the strap around the neck is already one size where you have slip it over your head to put on or take off, where it is too low or keep tying up at the base of the neck where it sometimes comes loose making it uncomfortable. I also have long hair I tie up in a bun when working, to keep it out of my way. When having to slip apron strings over my head it would sometimes get caught and mess with my hair where I would have to undo it an redo it again. This was very inconvenient to have to do when you are in the middle of a project. With this apron I just click and click and the apron is on at right height and comfort around my waist every time and I can do this with my protective gloves on where as before I had to take them off to tie or adjust the apron. Then, unclick and unclick and it is off. It also has a pocket right in front, in the middle of the apron. I use it to keep my pencils, brushes or picks and other small tools frequently used, handy and accessible during my working sessions so that I don't keep misplacing them in with other tools. All in all, this is a very comfortable apron to use. It is well made and seems durable and resistant and will fit male or female of various heights and girth. It can be used for anything whether you do metalwork, mechanic, gardening or in virtually any type of workshop/environment. I am really glad to have finally found an apron this versatile and comfortable. I highly recommend it.

I mainly intend to use this for grinding (sparks have ruined a lot of t-shirts) and for metal melting. Grinding part works well. Haven't tried using the apron with the metal melting yet. As one of those who CANNOT tie a bow behind my back, the big clips are wonderful.

Quality product but I have given it a 4 star due to it taking almost a month to get to me on Prime membership delivery. Well made, just fits (I think the ties may be a little shorter in length than advertised) but is a good length with adjustable bib.

No, you will not win any beauty contests while wearing this apron :o) But it's not for gliding along the catwalks. Its purpose is to protect you from welding splatter. One day of welding left quite a few black dots... I don't want to think what would my "normal" clothes looked like if I wasn't wearing it... All in all - it works, it's reasonably priced and it has both the neck and back straps with adjustable and easily accessible plastic buckles. Nice touch, much appreciated. Makes life so much easier. If only someone could explain to me why this piece of leather costs less than a pair of welding sleeves? It makes no sense at all. I'm thinking of simply buying another one for the material (leather) to convert it into sleeves...
