Complete your fruit garden with a Loquat!
While posted at the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad, I lived in a home that had a lovely tree in the front yard. On cold nights, I would prepare hot tea for the night guard at the gate, and one night he gave me a bag of fleshy yellow fruit from the tree -- and told me "Loquat" -- and pointed to the tree. I never forgot how delicious this fruit was, so I ordered this little tree last spring. It did not grow much last year and I also had to move it once, but I have high hopes for this year. Even though it is a plum tree, the Loquat is not like any plum you have had before.

mines died after i received it
I ment to write a review for this when I received it but had they glued the bottom of the plant down to the box the stem would not have gotten broken and because it was able to bounce around in the box my stem broke so that was a lost of money for something they should have new would break if bounced around. hopefully next time they will glue the bottom down to the box

Nice little trees
After having 2 little loquat trees a few weeks, they have started to grow. They came packaged with the packing "peanuts" and had no damage. There was tape over the top of the pots to hold the dirt back and that worked well. I have kept them outside in the shade because it is summer here in the Phoenix Arizona area and the hot sun can burn some of the sturdiest fruit trees. Once fall rolls around and the temps drop, these two babies will go in the ground. This was a great purchase. It will be a long while before I will know if I like the fruit.

The picture on website deceptive, the plant that arrived was sick and unhealthy.
Deceptive picture on Amazon. The plant I got isnt even close to what they published on the website. There are 3 leaves of which 2 are severely damaged. I do see a few buds so i think this isnt just a twig planted in soil.I will try my level best to grow it but it doesnt look good.Ill update as the plant progresses until it (or if ) establishes.Update 5/16/16 : I replanted it in the ground a few days ago. We've had some torrential rain and intermittent sunshine. This seems to have helped, the lone green leaf is perky and buds are now seen. I added rooting hormone and sprayed a very small measure of copper fungicide just in case.Update 8/4/2016 The plant has died. The leaves fell off and its dead. It was sickly from the very start. Not 1 new leaf at all.I will try again, perhaps this time with seeds.

Quick delivery but much smaller plant than I expected
My loquat 'tree' arrived much sooner than I expected, and the plant seemed to be in good health. But it was much much smaller than I imagined, about 4 inches tall, appearing to be a seedling rather than a sapling. I've transplanted it with care into a pot so we shall see how it does.

Well packed
The poor plant was in the mailbox for a couple of hours before I got to it, and it was HOT. It would have been cooked, if it hadn't been so well packed. It was in a pot (not bare root), wrapped in plastic wrap, then in bubble wrap, then in plastic wrap, and finally, in the cardboard box. Now, the plant itself is tiny --only 2 leaves--but I expected that, because it is a seedling, not a tree. I'm

Fantastic plants it’s alive
The plants came in within a week and it is thriving and alive, I think the important thing is to plan when you want to order the plants and April and May is a good time otherwise the plants will either freeze to death or cooked.
