Hummer has a very heavy Gate with added weight of spare tire. This replacement strut worked perfectly. Easy to install...would buy again.

My son installed it and said it was better quality than the original part than what came with the car.

Arrived quickly, easy to install and works fine on flat ground. If this was just a little bit stronger I wouldn't hesitate to give it 5 stars. It only holds the door open if you open it all the way and you're on pretty flat ground. My driveway is slightly slanted where I park and when I open the door all the way it stays open, until the wind blows and it doesn't take much before the door hits me. Sometimes you get what you pay for and I bought the cheapest one I saw so, for the money, it deserves 4 stars

Works great. Keeps open even on inclines. Keep your hand on door or it will swing with a bit of force.
