M.A.D GLOSS BLACK ALLOY WHEEL TOUCH UP PEN REPAIR KIT PAINT WITH BRUSH CURBING SCRATCH (20ML PAINT + LACQUER)

Really needed the needle part but it is blocked - the Matt one was fine but needed the gloss one.

Having only had the car for a few months, we were gutted when my husband dinked our gloss black alloys. We’ve got a LR Discovery with the black pack wheels.Cost to repair was quoted anything you to £200, and some places wanted the wheel several days. This doesn’t have a spare wheel so that wasn’t practical. Honestly, I thought was absurd for this kind of scrape and with the best will in the world, it’s easy to do on painted wheels so after searching online I found this. It’s genuinely brilliant. Would definitely say try it. The paint is an almost perfect match for the LR black pack colour and shine.I really struggled to get a picture where you can actually see the damage but I’d highly recommend it.I lightly wet sanded the major stuffs in the metal, cleaned it with IP and it’s filled brilliantly. You can layer as well to fill bigger dents. The lacquer over the top seems to make it rock solid and for the price you can’t go wrong.In reality, we now have to really search to find the damage pictured and I’ve barely touched the contents of the bottles so if it ever happens again (hopefully not!) I can re-touch.TIP: it’s very runny so work in tiny dabs with a brush that isn’t the one in the bottle.

Used this to touch up an alloy wheel that I scuffed on a kerb. Once I rubbed down the damage to smooth it out I used this paint to touch up the damaged area. The colour and sheen matched the wheels and was provided an excellent finish to the job. To make it even better I could’ve used a filler but the scuff wasn’t that deep.in terms of this product, it was great for touching up small areas and I would recommend it

Does the job well. Only issue was the little brush supplied is low quality. I found the best way to apply the paint was a little bit at a time. Or use a firmer brush.

I needed to fix some damage to one of my alloys without spending a fortune. The damage is quite bad and I think I will give it another coat at some point to try and smooth it out. Works as intended. I think the paint is a bit runny personally, might do a better job if it was a bit thicker and the brushes were tiny and hard to work with. But other than that, it's what I expected. It isn't going to be perfect unless you get them refurbished, and since I always hit this one alloy because of my narrow drive, I don't see much point getting it refurbished just now.

I had bought the gloss black pen and lacquer, for the price it’s amazing.Very easy to use, there is a lot of gloss on it even without the lacquer which is great. Then adding the lacquer makes the finish stand out even more.You can barely notice that the gloss black wheels have been touched up, unless you go very very close to it, which no one normally does.Definitely worth the buy and will keep using it until it’s finished, which by the way seems like it would last a very long time as you only need to use a little bit. Just be careful not to overload the brush with too much paint, just scrape off the excess on the inside of the bottle.5 stars!

Delivery: FastItem; I got the set (1 paint & 1 laquer) used it to touch up on a motorbike tank, works well, the only gripe is the shaft of the brush gets alot of paint on it so can be tricky to apply nicely if you dont take the time to scrape it of on the bottle neck.There is also a pen type applicator (you pull the clear lid of rarther then unscrew the brush) but i havent used that yet.Would recommend?: Yes

Chipped paint off the rim trying to remove a punctured tyre and this was exactly what I was looking for. It's not perfect, you'll still notice the imperfections if you're looking directly at it, but it does the job for the money.
