Reese Towpower 74052 Black Hitch Ball Cover

ZERO stars. I bought one of this EXACT model number locally a few years ago, so I thought it would be a good re-purchase for my other vehicle this Spring (2018). I used the new one yesterday, and it tore while putting it on a greased 2" ball! The vinyl (?) is much thinner than the older one, and collapsed as I was trying to remove it.Reese is either cashing in on their (formerly) good name, or their quality control sucks. Amazon won't take a return because I made the mistake of trying it out 6 months after I bought it. INCREDIBLY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE WHOLE TRANSACTION.

one of the ongoing problems with trailer plugs is that when left dangling in the back of your vehicle and uncovered, it develops a rust type patina that is not conducive to the flow of electricity. thus, when you hook up the trailer the light don't work! That is why I bought this unit. You must first clean the electrical plug both on the vehicle and on your trailer. once you done that and you checked to make sure the trailer lights work, then unhook same and attach this cover. You need to puncture the ball cover so you can get it off later, and cover the vehicle plug no more problems when you go to hook up the trailer lights!

Good product, but I wish it was a tad taller to fully encase the ball to its base. I'm actually using it to protect the plug on the trailer. Still, I'm happy with my purchase.

It's difficult to rate a trailer ball vinyl protective cup. It fits and it works. My main purpose for buying this was for the sleeve to cover the trailer electrical connector. It is much better than having it loose and dangling. For some unknown reason, this item cannot be found locally. I used to find it at Home Depot or West Marine but it has been removed from inventory.

Keeps grease off the pants; keeps salt and sand from getting to the ball. excellent fit and protection for the 4 wire flat. Fits nice and tight on my 2'' ball so should be a good fit for 1 1/2' ball.

Works great. covers the ball when not in use and protects clothes from grease.

Perfect fit on our 1 7/8" ball. Nice soft pliable material easily stretches over the ball and results in an easy but snug fit.

Tired of rust and grease on your pants? so was I... This looks better, and fits on my 2" ball like a lubricated glove (on the lithum greased ball).My only error is I confused that I don't actually need the cover for the plug, as I have a socket with a flap, and when connected to the trailer the plug from the trailer that I was thinking about does not need this - but for others that have a cable sticking out this is great.

These hitch ball covers are as described. They are a flexible/soft enough rubbery material that makes them fairly easy to install or remove. I have used these on my Prowler XT hitch ball and have lost only one over the years while driving or turning around on brushy trails.I would definitely buy again and do recommend these covers.

Fits standard hitch ball. Ours is larger. Looks on site as appropriate but size was missed when purchasing. Small price to pay but buyer beware.

Fits nice on ball and was cheap******Update from April the little sleeve to pull on broke. Cover still works but broke in less than a year

It slipped on quite tightly onto a 2-5/16" ball but it is on. I bought the wrong size but it was too late. Given what it is, it may be a little pricey but it works for now.
