sturdy, little waffle tongs
Sturdy little flipper. Keep in mind that this is a very short utensil. Unlike some tongs, these are always in an open position. There is no lock to keep it closed, which is fine because it really doesn't need it. But that also means that it doesn't open real wide-- again, don't really need it for waffle use. We use it for use with our Belgian waffle maker. I think it works great. Rather use this than poke my waffles with a fork. I'm 5'10" and have large lady hands. My fingers are short and my palms are wide. I have no issue operating this flipper. Why am I tell you this? I mention this because other reviews have said that it is too small to use? Nah. I wouldn't use it in a piping hot cast iron pan with boiling oil, but to safely and easily handle waffles off the waffle maker? yeh, totally fine. Some of you make it sound like it came from Barbies Dream Kitchen lol I purchased mine when it was around the $6-7 mark. That is the most I would spend on this. I see they list it as an $18 item.. no. It is well made, but it isn't an every day item (well, unless you make waffles everyday. Can I live with you?) It's fine. I like it. We use it. I have no issue with it. Full rating. PS, I have had it for 10 months, no issues.

Haha... Jokes On Me. Thought They Were Bigger
I should've paid closer attention to the detailed description of this product. When the package arrived and I saw it, I immediately laughed at the size -- 4" MAX. And as I opened it, I thought, "Ah, OK... the arms telescope out to lengthen it." NOPE! Haha... It is as it is. It's MINI in length AND width. Ok. Haven't used it yet, but my intended purpose was for flipping burgers, steaks, etc., in the skillet or grill, but these are SOOOOOO SMALL, that to use them, it seems I'll have to get my knuckles very close to the heat. Not good. Not what I expected. Oh well... I'm sure I'll find another use for them. VERY well constructed, so I'm sure they'll last for a long time doing whatever task I eventually find for them. Update: 6/20/2020 - Ultimately, I decided to return before using.

I don't understand the negative reviews
I recently purchased a Waring Dual Waffle Maker. I wanted to obtain the same spatula/fork took that hotel chains offer with their waffle makers that one sees at the complimentary morning breakfast. For under $10, this fit the bill perfectly. I don't understand the negative reviews. I just made my first batch of waffles this morning. Using this tong, I simply slipped the spatula beneath the waffle and removed it with the fork grip. The waffle lifted out of the grill perfectly. If I had just used a fork instead, I risked tearing the waffle apart. The size is perfect. I don't need another huge gripping device in my utensil drawer. It works wonderfully, and it's the same design that you see at hotel breakfast counters. If it works for them, it certainly should work in the home. Listen, I am not putting down other reviewers. Everyone has their particular likes and dislikes about how a product should perform. However, what could be more simpler than sliding a spatula under a waffle and using a grip to gently pull it out from the grill? This gripper works as advertised.

EZ Grab Tongs ~ A Waffle Making Must Have For Me.
When I put my waffle maker in the cart these EZ Grab Tongs were offered at the bottom of the product page. So they were more of a impulse buy then a item we were seeking. From reading many reviews I did know going in that they were short. When they arrived I will admit that grandma and I thought perhaps they were another gadget for our junk drawer. However , they have turned out to be a must have to our waffle making. Without these tongs I am certain that the process would be more difficult. I am about 5'3" about average height, my hands are proportionate for my size. Leaving me wondering why some reviews say that they are too small for Adult hands? In my opinion it is more Awkward to use a larger set of tongs for waffles, after attempting to use a larger pair without the prongs . It's been a few months now of using my EZ Grab Tongs. I prefer to use them with my waffle maker over anything else. I would definitely recommend this product to others.

So-So
Why did you pick this product vs others?: These are really kind of hard to use. They don’t open enough to really be used for anything but waffles.

Smaller than I expected
I opened the box and saw this micro tool for the kitchen. I was expecting a regular-size spatula/tong set. I was shocked by the tiny size of this tool. BUT, I love this item. It's perfect for pulling the waffles out of my waffle maker and it takes up very little space.

needs refining
looked ok on paper, but doesn't really work well. the angle of the tool places the prongs at an unusable angle for lifting a waffle and the pressure required to squeeze the tong is excessive. a fork works much better, at least in my Breville waffle iron. too bad, because a little more engineering would have produced a much better product.
