Quality Still Exists
It's difficult not to start this without first mentioning the Beretta 92/96FS as one of my favorite handguns. With over 35 handguns in my collection, it say's a lot. But there is one thing that is consistent in the firearms industry, and that they are looking for ways to cut corners, Beretta included. One of the little pet peeves that I have and maybe some of you do too, is the sloppy gap between the mag well and mag base. Some worse than others, but almost without exception is the space between the two.NDZ Performance has designed a magazine base that eliminates that for the perfect fit that I look for. They make them in both the natural aluminum for my "Inox" Stainless Berettas and a black version for the standard FS/M9.First thing you will notice is the precision that went into the manufacturing of this floor plate. If a floor plate can be called a work of art, this one is. As a side benefit, it looks fantastic if you own an Inox 92/96. It locks up perfectly with all aesthetic lines exact. In the case of my 96, it takes a light slap to seat the magazine, but for me that's generally the way I load a magazine anyway.Yes, it's $16, but if you are like me, the last Beretta I bought, the first thing I do is order a solid stainless steel guide rod on my quest to make my all metal gun, metal. If you appreciate quality, you will not be disappointed with this product. If you like the idea of looking at your Beretta Inox without black plastic/metal parts replaced with matching or the "grey ghost" look, you will love it.Finally if you like the idea of your magazine seating like the sound of a Mercedes door closing, this is a fantastic buy. You will be back for more.

Not identical to standard 92 FS base plate
It slides on just fine and looks good, but once you have it installed you will discover that the detent hole you press something into to release the base plate is not in the same location as the standard base plate. If you ever need to remove the Inox base plate you will have to (very carefully) drill a second hole in the proper location (using the old base plate to locate where the hole should be). Very annoying, but one doesn't look at the bottom of the base plate that often. Maybe it lines up properly for some other 92 or 96 models, but the 92FS, no.

Does not fit flush with 96 magazine well
This base does not fit flush to the magazine well when installed on 96 magazines leaving a noticeable gap. It does function correctly, but the gap makes it look silly and would allow for garbage to get in.

Finish is Close Enough for Me.
Helped make my new 92FS INOX a true stainless. No its not an exact match to the frame, but way better than I was expecting after reading previous reviews. Its a closer match to the slide if your gun is original from the factory like mine. Since some of the stainless steel replacement parts I got from Beretta don't match either (like the extended mag release button and skeletonized hammer) it doesn't matter to me. In fact, I think it gives it a cool custom look from the factory. . . Craftsmanship is very good. It's a solid part. I'll probably end up getting a couple more soon.
