Yes, this case works.Yes, you can put your phone into the case and put the phone in water without fear of damaging it.Yes, you can take underwater pictures with this case.This is a great product. It does what it says, and it does it very well. It should fit most 5.1/5.2 inch devices and under just fine. It'll keep your phone dry and still usable. We've been using this case non-stop for about 2 weeks now - both out of water and in water. There's a whole lot of great things about the case, so I'll address the very few negatives first. (With a more detailed account of the case underneath);Cons:- The lanyard "feels" cheap. It isn't a $50 bungee cable, so don't go swinging it around like a lasso. We haven't had any problems with it (and we certainly stress tested in a Water Ride), but I personally wouldn't put my trust in it. That being said, the lanyard works very well; it hasn't broken, come apart, fray, or snap. It just "feels" cheap.- Opening the clasps can be a little bit of a hassle if you don't have thick/long nails. However, once you get the hang of it, it becomes much easier. Also, the clasps tend to stay wet a little longer than the rest of the case, so make sure the clasps are dry before opening the case, less water get inside.- You can't take pictures using the flash on your camera. This one seems pretty obvious, but for those that might not realize it, the light will reflect off of the plastic, creating heavily distorted/over exposed images. This isn't FREIQ's fault - it's plastic; that's what plastic does.Pros:- Quite literally, everything else. This case does exactly what it says. The plastic is tough and extremely transparent.- Your phone will be safe (from water) within this case.- You're still able to take pictures, talk on the phone, record movies, and play games with this case on. (And in the water.)First off, this case does exactly what it says it does - it's a waterproof cellphone carrying case that fits multiple phones. My fiance has a Nexus 5 (for whom I originally purchased the case for) and I have a Nokia Lumia 520. Both phones fit the pouch well, though the Nexus 5 definitely fits better, as it's a larger phone. My phone moves around a good bit because of it's much smaller size, but it's still very usable.I'll admit, we were both extremely cautious at first. Cellphones aren't cheap, and I didn't want to ruin my fiance's precious phone. So, we did the age old paper towel test; we opened up the case, placed a dry paper towel inside, closed it up, and placed the phone in a sink full of water. (The case does, in fact, float, so we had to weigh it down.) After about an hour, we came back, dried off the case, opened it up, and, sure enough, the paper towel was bone dry. After running this test a few more times, we both decided to try our phones out. And again, sure enough, both phones stayed dry.We ended up bringing my fiance's phone to Aquatica (a water park) in this case to take pictures - both under water and above it - and they came out stellar. We also went swimming in our pool with this case and recorded multiple videos - and they all came out well. One thing to note, however, is that Android phones in particular are very sensitive - dunking under water WILL result in the camera taking a picture if your camera app is open. If you're taking a video, then it's not a big deal, as most camera apps take photos while recording if the button is pressed. If you're going to take a picture, use your camera app's timer.Just a few words of warning - opening the clasps can be a little annoying at times, and if they are wet when you open the case, water WILL get inside. However, this is fairly obvious and noticeable. If you are going to open the case, dry it first. The lanyard for the case does feel a little cheap. I'm not sure if it's just mine, or if they're all like it, but the lanyard feels like it can snap quite easily. With that being said, my fiance and I went to Aquatica and went swimming in the Rapids (a fast moving lazy river) and the lanyard help up quite well. I don't think the lanyard is cheap - it simply feels inexpensive. Also, if your phone tends to get hot when playing games or taking pictures, be sure to give your phone a break every once in a while. It didn't happen to us, but I imagine heat coming from the phone mixed with the heat of a hot day could fog up the plastic.If you need a water proof case, then get this one. It works very well.

Update June 10th: Well, it's still working. I took it with me to Soak City at Knotts Berry Theme Park and carted my phone, ID, passes and money around in for about 5 hours. From water slides, submersion and impact in the wave pool, hanging over the side of the inner tube on the lazy river, the playground that sprays water all the time, I hung it around my neck, let it float in the water, peered at it and checked on it twice. Dry as a bone, no condensation this time. Admittedly, I also had my phone turned off and not running music so there was no battery inside to heat things up. I also kept getting stopped by people to ask if it worked and where to get it. So I've directed them here. I'd still give it a 4.5, just for the build up of condensation on the inside if I'm actually actively using my phone. But it still does the job, and without needing to fork out a lot of money.I felt more than a little smug taking pictures through my phone at the wave pool and sending texts and watching other people tucking their phones into the chest of their bathing suits and screeching when their kids got them wet and frantically checking to see if their phone was still okay. Ten bought me piece of mind and a chance to focus on keeping track of my son in a sea of kids instead of splitting my focus. Allowed me to have fun. I'm going to buy a few and if someone asks when I'm there again, passing one to them and saving them some pain and anguish if their phones get wet. It was also a little easier to open this time, but still sealed up real good.Original review:Would rather give this a 4.5 than a straight up four. I bought this (No one supplied me with it or the like) and I saw someone who had wished that there was a review that wasn't a sponsored one. Well, here you go.I was doing a 5k Mudrun. I wanted to keep my HTC One V with me, potentially take pictures, and be able to text my husband when I'd be close to the finish line. I didn't want to spend 50 bucks on something that I may or may not use once. This fit the bill. The deduction of the one star, is in the con's section and that was just because given enough time, enough condensation could have caused troubles.Pros:* Simple, straight forward, nothing fancy.* Comes with a lanyard that can unclip from the case to make it easier to open.* Takes pictures through the plastic pretty well, provided that you don't have drops of water clinging to the outside.* I heard the music pretty good through the case, though there is some dampening.* Nice and roomy, can accommodate nearly any phone, even with a protective case.* Had no issue manipulating the screen at all. I was surprised by this. It was a little harder to text through the plastic, but not too much. Just required a little more attention.Cons:* It may be waterproof but I had condensation going on the inside, and eventually over the hour that I was tromping through obstacle courses, having water hosed on me, wading through mud and otherwise putting it to a good old fashioned test, it gathered enough condensation inside to be a few drops at the bottom when I opened it up at the end of the run. Mind you, this is during a hot day in Southern California spring and humidity is high. There was no water at the seal, so this was clearly the condensation.* The clasps (for lack of a better word) that keep it closed and waterproof, were at times, a pain in the butt to open. Took a little leverage but it would in the end.For the 10 bucks or so that it costs, it was exactly what I needed and did precisely what it said. Without it, I would have been unable to let my family know when to be at the finish line to cheer me on. Coated in mud, dredged through pools of scummy water, bombarded by a fire hose a few times, it passed the real life test and not just the kitchen sink test as others have shown. I'll be trying it on a color run next, to see how it stands up to colored cornstarch.Update: Well, it's now been two years and what can I say. I still have it. I just recently took it out with us on a camping trip out onto Backbone Lake and a few times it dipped into the lake water and it was still going strong. Still a bit of a PITA to open it back up after it's sealed but I can still get it open. For what I paid for it, and what it currently costs, it's still hands down a mile above others when you need something fast and cheap. And I could still take pictures with it, play music through it and this time there was no condensation. So I bumped it up to a 5 star instead of 4.

This completely sealed and no water got inside. I was still generally careful but I had it inside the ocean and swimming pools. This did look cheap and like it wouldn't seal 100% but it work 100% for the 4 days I used it!

Can now use my iPhone in the bath - one of the few times I get to relax and read emails etc - very happy with product. I haven't submerged it, but the seal looks like it should take being dropped in water ok.

Ottima la busta, usata più volte al mare in spiaggia e sott'acqua. In spiaggia è vincente l'accoppiata con un auricolare bluetooth per chiamare col telefono al sicuro. La protezione maggiore la da contro i furti, in quanto rende possibile portarsi dietro lo smartphone e i soldi anche in acqua. In quest'ultimo caso è dura restare tranquilli col telefono immerso, ma in effetti è restato sempre totalmente asciutto. Il telefono imbustato galleggia o affonda a seconda di quanta aria si lascia nella busta prima di chiuderla, ma non saprei dire quale sia la scelta migliore. Video e foto più che soddisfacenti sott'acqua (con le giuste condizioni di luce), sono senza dubbio le immagini più d'effetto ottenibili con lo scarso sensore del moto g. Immagini nitide e nessun problema con l'autofocus che continua a funzionare. È possibile ma non banale (e forse logorante per la busta) utilizzare i tasti fisici laterali del telefono ( es sblocco). Sott'acqua il touch non funziona, quindi meglio avere un tasto fisico per lo scatto, possibilmente frontale. Fuori dall'acqua, controluce è quasi impossibile vedere lo schermo anche con luminosità al massimo, ma anche qui basta ingegnarsi (o immergersi) per avere sotto controllo lo schermo. Nella media, e quindi insufficiente per quanto mi riguarda,a fettuccia per portarla al collo e soprattutto il suo aggancio. Rimpiazzarlo con un cordino qualunque cin un bel nodo ha sciolto tutte le mie ansie a riguardo.Penso che molti acquirenti compulsivi di action camera potrebbero risparmiarsi qualche soldino imbustando il cellulare, registrando un video e andando a farsi il bagno. Poi, una volta fatto il selfie tuffandosi e il video dei loro piedi sott'acqua potrebbero rivalutare l'acquisto di una gopro "per andare al mare". Apertura e chiusura non sono immediate, ma se non altro il sistema di cerniere utilizzato è a prova di errore e non si ha il dubbio di averla chiusa male. Unica fase delicata è ovviamente l'apertura e l'estrazione del telefono che se fatta in spiaggia rischia di far entrare acqua e sabbia nella busta; niente di irrisolvibile con un po' di buon senso. Vediamo se nell'estate 2015 la plastica sarà ancora stagna e trasparente!Modifica con stella in più: anche l'estate 2015 è andata benone, il prodotto invecchia bene. Inoltre è molto diffuso oramai, per cui ci si sente anche un po' meno stupidi a portarlo in giro.

Ho acquistato questa custodia con un po di terrore, ovviamente se non avesse funzionato avrei rischiato di buttare il telefono.Ho avuto modo di provarla per tutta l'estate e fa agregiamente il suo dovere, non ho rilevato ne acqua all'interno ne umidità, tenuta stagna perfetta, e protezione ottimale da sabbia e salsedine, nemici degli smartphone nelle giornate al mare.Ovviamente non ho avuto modo di verificare se la tenuta dichiarata dal produttore, 30 metri, sia veritiera, ma fino a 3 metri di profondità non ha fatto passare assolutamente nulla.Sono presenti sia sul davanti che sul retro due quadranti trasparenti grandi grossomodo come uno smartphone, il che permette di scattare foto subacquee senza il rischio di danneggiare il telefono, la plastica è molto nitida e scattanto le foto sott'acqua non si nota, all'esterno invece un po' perde se vengono effettuate foto al di fuori dell'acqua.con luso tende a rigarsi la plastica trasparente e ovviamente le foto andranno a peggiorare con il passare del tempo e dell'uso, ma per ora va ancora bene.Pro: costo contenuto e prodotto che mantiene le promesseContro: la plastica tenderà ad usurarsi, ma considerando il prezzo se ne può acquistare un altro, anche perchè 2/3 anni ci si fanno tranquillamente

Protegge il proprio smartphone da praticamente quasi tutto. Sulla spiaggia potete maneggiare il telefono in totale tranquillità e ciò rende questo oggetto un "must have" per le vacanze al mare.La custodia è venduta con la certificazione IPX8 ossia è protetta da "Immersioni continua" (da wikipedia:Intenational Protection) (non è che uno non si fida ma io un check nel lavandino lo farei comunque prima di immergerlo chissà dove).Il touch sotto l'acqua non funziona (neanche se avete le mani che grondano acqua) ma nel caso voleste scattare fotografie subacque (non male la qualità) si può ovviare con l'autoscatto. Premere un tasto fisico per scattare non è agevole: utilizzare i tasti fisici del cell infatti richiede lo "schiacciamento" del profilo in plastica della custodia che è anche nero rendendo difficile l'individuazione degli stessi.Io ho trovato utile fare dei video e scattare degli screenshot successivamente.Sott'acqua mi è capitato di avere problemi con lo zoom che a volte sembrava funzionare in maniera incontrollata.Meccanismo di apertura e chiusura semplice e di facile utilizzo ma operate sempre con mani pulite e asciutte. L'ingresso per il telefono è strettino e se avete una custodia voluminosa forse dovrete toglierla prima di inserirlo.Un consiglio: se rimane troppa aria dentro il sacchetto potreste avere difficoltà nel maneggiare le funzioni del cell tramite touch. Utilizzate una cannuccia per tirare via l'aria prima di chiudere le due clip e la plastica aderirà perfettamente al telefono. Il consiglio non vale se utilizzate il telefono in acqua infatti le gocce che scendono sul display 'confondono' il vostro tocco.Lavate sempre la custodia dopo l'utilizzo in acqua marina o in piscina.Attenzione alle cadute. La plastica è facile a graffiarsi e se i segni capitano davanti all'obiettivo... beh, questo potrebbe inficiare sulla qualità delle foto.Arriva in un packaging ben curato. Nella scatola oltre la custodia troviamo anche un laccetto per appenderla al collo che si è rotto dopo un paio di utilizzi (sostituito con uno più robusto).A 9,99€ è un buon aqcuisto. Consigliata!

Ho comprato questa custodia impermeabile prima di partire per andare in vacanza, promette di sigillare completamente il telefono proteggendolo da sabbia/polvere e acqua. Riesce a contenere completamente il mio Nexus 5 e la plastica trasparente è sensibile alle nostre dita, quindi potremo tranquillamente usare il telefono quando si è in spiaggia o fare filmati in acqua senza paura di bagnare il telefono. La pellicola non abbassa assolutamente la qualità della fotocamera, ne quella del display. Ovviamente un altro vantaggio di avere il telefono sempre con se è quello di prevenire possibili furti. La custodia ha attaccata una resistente cordicella per poterlo tenere al collo. Il meccanismo di chiusura funziona al 100%, il telefono mi è scivolato dalle mani ed è caduto in mare, vi assicuro che non era entrata neanche una goccia d'acqua. La fase più delicata riguarda quando inseriamo il telefono nella custodia per migliorarne la sua efficienza dobbiamo cercare di togliere più aria possibile con le mani e poi chiudere.
