So I wanted to have an outdoor camera and already had a YI home camera spare so this was ideal. I fitted it a few weeks ago and it's coped with all sorts of weather easily. Although it doesn't specifically mention the YI home camera 3 (which is a little thicker than the earlier ones) it DOES fit with a little squeezing. Brilliant

These do seem to work, no water damage to my Yi camera from an installation I put up 3 years ago. Only negative is the exposed metal between the bracket and mount has started to rust.

Perfect great quality and protects the camera well. Enables you to put the cheaper camera outside!

Good that it fits with my camera though isn’t in anyway waterproof. Ok for use where the rain can’t get if used outside. Feels very flimsy when fitted and wouldn’t take much to snap if not careful. Ball joint to move camera is awkward and should be revised. Expensive for what you get.

good bracket, slight fault with first one, but replacement sent out by seller, very helpful company to deal with.

Does not fit YI Home camera - Silicone far too small - even if it did fit not enough clearance to protect USB socket into camera so unsafe

These work great!! Been using since December. Really good protection for the camera. Camera continued to work in 10F weather with an inch of ice and 7 inches of snow on the ground. Camera survived tons of rain earlier this month. A little hard to get on because they do fit tight, which is great because it seems to really protect it from the elements. Placed camera in this then mounted on the side of the house using some vinyl siding clips. Couldn't be happier.

This camera mount is inexpensive and light weight, but serves its intended purpose.. I have mine mounted outside under the eve of my shop building. So far it's working fine.. We recently had a terrential rain storm... And the camera continued to work without a hitch...

I had three Yi cameras, but never could find something to use to mount them outside. I looked at a lot of different housings, but they all had some sort of plastic or glass at the front that interfered with the IR light/camera on the Yi.This is a rubber housing with a mounting plate that does not have any glass/plastic in front of the camera, so your IR function will work perfectly!Other reviews warned that the rubber part of the housing was extremely difficult to get the camera into. I didn't have that issue, I stuck one side of the camera inside of the 'lip' of the housing, and then just worked my way around the perimeter of the camera. It went on pretty easy, I think!After that, set up is a breeze. The mounting plate gives you full movement so you can point your camera where you want and it will stay there.It does offer some protection from the elements with the rubber housing and a little hood over the camera, but it is open to the elements in the front. I'd be worried about water/debris getting in there, so I have my cameras mounted on the back (covered) porch and on our front stoop so they both have protection from the elements.Since installation a couple months ago, the cameras and these mounts have performed flawlessly. I have full 360 degree coverage of my home for the cost of four cameras (about $120) and four of these wall mounts.I'm very happy with how they have performed, but I'd be wary of placing them in a spot where they didn't have a roof over them or similar protection.
