Very easy install and seems to be no extra noise like others have said
Works great so far. Fit perfectly on my 2000 Chevy 1500 5.3L extended cab. Will come back in a couple months to review its durability!

so far so good. steady 14.4V, easy to install into my Lada Niva 2014 1.7 and a great upgrade
so far so good. steady 14.4V, easy to install into my Lada Niva M 2014 1.7 and a great upgrade over stock 42A. 115000km'sIt just took 3 washers for the bottom bracket to get the pulley aligned, a washer under the pulley which came off of the original alternator and a steel angle iron for the upper tension-er bracket.I hope it will last, I will inform if it doesn't.

Low cost replacement but I am concerened with the quality control of the alternator
Low cost replacement but has a whine noise when vehicle is running at idle, which indicates alternator issues. Headlights and other electrical loads will get substantially brighter when accelerating or revving engine at idle. I think the alternator will need to be repaired soon, as I am an ASE and Michigan State certified automotive technician currently employed at a car dealership for more than 10 years

I would give this alternator less than one star if I was able to. I have a 2006 duramax. This alternator lasted me less than two weeks.

Perfect for for ‘02 for Silverado LS 5.3
This was a perfect match. Even the pulley color was the same as my original, 20 yr old alternator. (Cant believe it lasted that long.) The reviews about the noise it made worried me. But I could barely hear a whining when running. I think this is normal no matter what alternator you get. Saved more than twice the price if I had bought at auto parts store.Although parts store offered lifetime warranty I still would save money if I had to buy another one in a couple of years.
