I'm a stone sculptor...and carve stone from this state.....when I went to get it I say and experienced some of these amazing ancient paintings...and found it both inspiring....spiritual....and fascinating.....great to revisit and see others not accessible to the public and learn

I am an avocational archaeologist who has been photographing Native American rock art for over 30 years and have visited a great many of the sites in the book. All I can say is this is an excellent addition to my rock art library. In fact, it is so good I have purchased a second copy for a fellow researcher.

Rock Art is difficult to describe and analyze. The author has provided an insightful work that blends together well both his scientific background and his artistic view of what rock art represents.

This book was a different opinion from the writers point of understanding native Americans rock art interpretation.
