Q: To lock the T- handle in place to match the blade, do you have a locking collar or do you spin the whole handle to tighten?

My experience is you have to grip the top of handle and hold shaft and twist handle to tighten. Hope this helps.

Q: I plan on using this paddle to hang halfway out my friends passenger car window, so i need a short paddle, will this suffice?

It fit in my suitcase quite well.

Does exactly what it says on the tin

I bought this for my 2 year old to play with whilst in the Canadian Canoe with us, to keep her involved and stop her getting bored.I thought it could also act as the spare paddle if we ever needed one.It's ideal for both, if a bit small for a fully grown adult. But it seems sturdy enough.Job done.
