Judge, Vol. 1 (Judge, 1)

Judge, like Doubt, is a psychological horror manga that delves into the ethical systems of individuals and pushes those systems to the extreme. The manga follows Hiro as his recounts his inner demons, or rather, his sin; having been in love with a childhood friend who was dating his older brother, Hiro stages a delay in the couple's date in order to reveal his true feelings to his crush, only to discover that his brother was involved in an accident that claimed his life. After this flashback, Hiro awakens in a small room with his hands cuffed behind his back and a hideously designed mask on his head. Following the narrow hallway outside his room, Hiro enters into a courtroom that houses eight other victims much like himself. It is here that the game is revealed: Judge is a game in which only four of the sinners present may survive and the rest will be sentenced to death by the voting of the majority. But Hiro doesn't believe that killing is the answer; so long as a majority isn't established, then they all may live until help arrives. If they must die, then why not die together? If they must live, then why not work together to find a way out? Judge is definately a satisfying read for those who enjoyed Doubt and love a good mystery.

Definitely an interesting read, and suspenseful. Unfortunately I read this a while ago so I can't add much beyond that, but I remember really enjoying it. I was traveling after I bought it, and forgot all about buying the next books in the series, but I'll definitely be buying them now to find out what happens.

If you enjoy this author’s iconic brand of writing pre-dangan ronpa killing games with weird animal masks involving characters who aren’t who they say they are, you’ll like this one too. If you’re not into any of those things I mentioned, then this book ain’t for you!

This is what I love to read! A psychological, mystery, horror story where you don't know what will happen next.If you like these kind of stories like I do then this is A must read!

It was interesting with some twists and turns. Many different characters with distinguished personalities. But above all it was a page turner.

I picked this up because of the art and the concept of being judged mysteriously for your wrongdoings sounded compelling enough to buy. Yet I was sorely disappointed, it took too long to build suspense and it didn't end well enough for me to want to continue buying the series

Came quick and safe

Another awesome tale from Yoshiki Tonogai. I was supprised to see that it plays out quite different from Doubt. As far as I can tell you don't NEED to read Doubt first but I'd recommend doing so!
