Played well right out of the box, no need to work the reed

I’ve used these reeds for 30 years. For me they play right out of the box. I can play a four hour gig with no warm up. The quality is great!

I like the flexibility and ease of play for Hemke reeds. I recently found that I can also use this exact same reed on my Eb sopranino clarinet. Works great especially in upper ranges.

First time soprano sax player and I started with these reeds. I got a very good sound with them considering my lack of experience.

Thanks a lot to Amazon for the very prompt service! Ordering from India could not have been easier. I'm a basic sax learner. Hemkee 4 reed for soprano is great! I had previously bought size 3 and that was too soft. 4 works just fine. Hemkees seem to be on the softer side, great tone and flexibility, but may not be the one for longer performances. Certainly pleasant and won't be disappointing for anyone.

I use these on a Yamaha 5c with Kmise leather ligature on my Taishan Winds curved soprano and find that they don't need all the filing and pre use manipulation that I expected. I do a paper rub and wetting before playing and I'm very happy with the responsiveness and the resonant sound.

Rating above average. They have improved the tonal quality on my Soprano, but lack that "little extra" to make it superior rating.

Nice reeds, bought them in a pinch a day before a gig and they certainly did the job, played three so far and all have been eminently workable. Would buy again.

I misread the advert-it was alto sax reeds I required-unfortunately I had broken the seal on the packet before realising-the reeds are untouched and totally useless for me!!

Bought for a soprano sax. Been playing for a couple of years and wanted to try something different from the normal reed makes. Found these instantly improved my tone and I could play for much longer - maybe because it wasn't such an effort to get a good note out. Still on my first reed so lasting well.
