So Surprisingly Good It Makes You Worry for the Future of Hair Stylists and Barbers
As my random survey of whether or not to use a bootleg barber in the era of Covid showed a large majority sticking to the rules [this is not allowed yet from where I write] I did the socially responsible thing and plunged into the world of self-barbering if that is a term, preceded by copious research (which like looking for a good frying pan is a bit circular - many of the reviews keep leading to sales links whereby the reviewer probably gets a cut for every click through (so much for objectivity)). At any rate the Hatteker came up in the top ten in the UK in many surveys - I was hesitant as these have 'ceramic' blades where others boast 'super space age self sharpening steel (etc etc)'. And ceramic just doesn't sound like a...scissors does it ? BUT these were in stock and rated highly by the aforesaid articles (which tells you something at least). The box arrived wrapped in plastic MADE IN CHINA. Uh-oh I thought. That's where the anxiety stopped and dear reader, this product turned out to be a home run. I tried it out that night after studying more than a few Youtube videos on how to clipper your own hair (spoiler : shave UP simply put) and this worked like a wiz. I had a pretty shaggy head after 8 weeks without a cut but I was done in 20 minutes exactly as I wanted it - perfect cut. Kudos from my wife who was alarmed I was even trying this and other friends who could not believe how it came out when they asked to see photos. Here's the high points : at least 8 attachments for different lengths PLUS a central band which you can further grade the length of the cut from .5 to 2.5 mm in length PLUS two additional switch out razor heads for beard AND trimming back of the neck, side burns and eyebrows PLUS a extra lithion separately chargeable battery PLUS a very solid hold in the hand device whose power is more than enough for most (male) heads of hair PLUS all washable in water and ALL the head snap off and on extremely easily making it a cinch to clean and keep in good order. Only thing missing is a storage pouch - I dug a medium grade mid size travel pouch out of the closet and you can separate the shaver heads, other attachments and other gimracks in separate zip to seal bags you can get in any grocery store and put them in such a bag and you're good to store. The instruction sheet is useless except how to charge the battery [there is no charging stand by the way - you just charge the batteries with the charger and slip them in the phone (the stand is just to hold the thing up if you want to keep it in your bathroom that way vs storing it] - and there is a video review on Hatteker (a different model but much the same) on Youtube which explains the parts and how things clip on and off. Am taking the time on writing this as I was really shocked on the great result. I am sure there are others just as good but heh this is in stock, worked brilliantly and the price is excellent for the value. The main moral question is - what happens to the male haircutting and styling industry if we all get addicted to these things ? Not a pleasant question..... However you can rationalize getting one of these as the cost of one is the cost of a medium to higher grade haircut these days so what the heck. You can deal with the existential moral issues later... Enjoy

Excellent rechargeable shaver - very long battery life and neat cut!
Amazing! For years I have used top branded products and they suffer with short battery life and clumsy controls. This shaver is really versatile, and beats my corded top branded professional shaver, which just stays in my garage now. I bought this for a long vacation, to replace a good but battery dead rechargeable, and I now just use it choosing to shave my beard and head every 3-4 days in the bath room, and not bother with my corded shaver, for more convenient and the battery life just goes on and on. The controls are easy to use and very precise. So pleased with this one, been using it for about four months now.

Nice product.
I've only used this shaver once (4/6/2020) so my review is on first use. PRO's: The shaver looks well built, looks good, has great battery life (150 mins) and seems easy to hold. It's cordless and it has a very clear digital read-out of battery life (in percentage). The battery went down 20% while I faffed about attempting to cut my hair. Once I become more proficient, and I cut my hair more regularly, I suspect the battery life will still be in the 90's when I finish. I didn't need to re-charge it but I stuck it on charge from 80% and within 5 or 10 mins it was back to 100% (plugged into the wall). Wow! CON 1: PLEASE BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU OPEN THE BOX! I pulled the plastic tray out of the box and the lower part of the plastic tray that everything sat in was not taped to the top of the tray, and due to the weight of the shaver, most of the contents fell out, including the shaver. I was SO lucky that I happened to be holding it over a surface that was only 6-8 inches away. And I was lucky that the shaver never landed on the blade. There is a blade protector in the package but the shaver was not packaged with the protector on the blade. CON 2: The guide combs. They fit well enough but they have two prongs that sit in a hole on either side of the head of the shaver. They snap into the holes on the way in but I wonder how long it will be before one of the little prongs breaks as you ease them out. Time will tell. I guess if you only use one guide comb you may not remove it all that often. CON 3: There is a stand for the shaver and there is a cable you plug into the bottom of the shaver to charge it (so you have to lie the shaver down to charge it). Both work fine. It's seems a bit unusual that one of the most technological countries in the world (China) didn't integrate both together. My Philips shaver has a stand that is also a charger and I've had that for a few years now (similar price). I would have used that but it's not quite the right shape. It's lockdown time in the UK and my hair BADLY needed cutting. I was SO happy to be able to get the job done with this shaver. It's the first time I've ever cut my own hair and my co-ordination left a bit to be desired! But I pretty much got there. The front and sides looks pretty much like they normally do when I go to the barber (blade 7 all over, 22-24 mm) but the back was a bit rough because I just couldn't get my arms to do what I wanted! I found there were a few long bits of hair sticking up near my crown (which I gave up on that day, but I got some of them the next day). I also found it really tricky to get a "really" tidy line at the back of my neck (because I couldn't reach/couldn't co-ordinate with the two mirrors!) and in trying to do so I probably made it look a bit messier than it was. Lesson learned! There is a "fine tuning" adjustment on the blade that goes from 0.1mm to 2.5mm and I found this very useful to try and get a "tidy" line around my ears. The blade touched my ears as well but it didn't nick, catch or cut them. I think it would be easier to shave the back of my head if I didn't have to hold up a mirror to look in another mirror whilst I cut my hair, so maybe I need to try and get a mirror on a telescopic stand (if that even exists). But hopefully, now that I have the shaver, cutting my hair will become easier, especially since my hair will never be as long again, and so maybe, not as tricky to cut again. I'll keep practising though and hopefully my arms will stretch to the parts I want to get to and my hands will hold the shaver at the correct angle!

I cut my own hair at home, I was using and average trimmer for an year, so I finally went for the upgrade. and clippers are so much better. I can finally fade. + the dual length settings helps for extra blending in. I would say it slightly bigger than average, show using the corners can become a little iffy to use. overalll good performance, the noise isn't a lot too, it easy to clean, charging time is pretty fast, and the battery lasts quite long, and the power is good the blades very fast. I would say the provided gaurds, they start from 3 mm then there's 4-6, 7-9, 10-12, 16-19, 22-24. I world have preferred a little extra guards especially on the lower lengths. it's a hair clipper, so I don't see why would anyone want such a high end product just to cut their beard, you are looking to buy it only to cut your beard, then it's good too!

as title says. Clippers are fine but a little after a year into owning them the motor died. The battery life also doesn't display correctly. Only shows 70% no matter what the actual charge of the battery is.

I had a lot of trimmers so far (that garbage Philiphs OneBlade, a quite expensive Remington, a more expensive Philiphs one)and all of them were more expensive, but none of them were as good as this one. The build quality is great, the extra accessories help a lot. Basically you can cut any kind of beard/hair that you would like to. I love that they include two batteries, so you never have to worry about running low. Highly recommended product and seriously my best trimmer ever. For this price, it is a no-brainer.
