This book is a extensive study at this most excellent Lumix FZ80 camera abilities. It is amazing; everything about this great camera is cover in this manual. Feels like I am back in college course learning this just about this camera.Because of Raw Picture Processing almost every thing about the picture can be changed after the picture is taken. Being a photographer since my younger days; understanding this camera capabilities are amazing.One persons review is I just want an automatic camera that I don't have to think about. Which is what this camera is; however with a bit of study this book can help you in any area that you wish to learn more about.Thanks to the author who took the time to write this, so many others have just glossed over a few of its eaisier capabilities. This is a very complicated or easy camera depending "if" you choose to use all of its features. I believe it is worth the try. If you just want a automatic camera, than you picked a great camera.

Graham Houghton speaks my language! I purchased the Lumix FZ80 a month ago and have struggled to learn anything about it from the company provided manual. I’ve owned a variety of cameras in my lifetime, including 35 mm with all the manual settings and this camera had me bamboozled. Bless him for going out on his own to self publish a manual that this human being could actually understand! I bought this camera specifically for an Alaskan cruise and agonized over whether I would learn it in time for the trip. Thanks to GH I will be able to capture memorable photos from a bucket list trip I’ve been waiting for my whole life!

This User Guide was written by a photography teacher in the UK and some words are spelled differently than in America. For the most part, the book is accurate and tells you what to need to know to operate the Panasonic Lumix Fz80 and FZ82, camera number depends on which side of the world you are on but it is the same camera. Several settings in this camera are only available when settings in other parts of the setup are on or off., so these instructions are very important. To me this book is a must have.

So far still images are clear and sharp, 4K video will be coming this weekend at the Seaba Station motorcycle show. Neutral density filters will provide limited depth of field at f2.8 (soft focus background or bokeh). f2.8 is the largest aperture available with this camera. This is a very good book for a beginner photographer like me. I just purchased a Panasonic Lumix FZ 80 and this book has been a big help in learning the different settings and how to access them. The book goes into a great deal of detail which is what I wanted.

A fantastic guide, from the ground up, on how to get the best out of this great camera. Graham Houghton's YouTube video tutorials are great, but having this book to guide you through the features this camera has to offer was even better.Easy to understand, and to follow.

Great comprehensive content with a lot of black and white images. Color pics would have been nicer. It is definitely a lot more informative than the manual from Panasonic. However, the quality of the book binding is absolutely terrible. The pages in the first half of the book are cut completely wrong. They are too short at the bottom and cut very close to the first row of wording at the top. The binding glue looks questionable and I have a feeling as soon as I start reading the book I will have pages falling out. I have to decide whether to return for a possible better quality replacement or re-bind the book myself.

How a professional could write such a wonderful instruction manual without including an index is beyond me. The diagrams and photos are clear and his references to them are easily understood. His explanations are straightforward. I would have loved this manual if it had had an index.

I wish I'd bought this book sooner! I sent back my first FZ80 as I thought it was faulty. As Graham explains (among much else) the adjuster I though faulty is simply very loose on all these cameras - it is on my replacement one too. He has the answer, now applied. If you buy this black & white version you can apply for a link to full colour PDF downloadable version and access to Graham's useful YouTube videos and other articles he has written. There is much general photographic advice here too. If you have a Lumix FZ80/82 buy this book, you won't regret it.

Grundlegende Information des Autors weit über die Kamera-Funktionalität hinausgehend: Sie umfasst neben Erweiterungs- u Unterstützungsmöglichkeiten auch die Basics zur generellen Belichtungsfunktionalität, natürlich dann bei der Kamera selbst, Stärken und Schwächen der enormen Zoom-Brennweitenleistung der FZ80/82. Für einen interessierten Fotolaien wie mich, der über die !"Focus-Scharf-Auslös-Ebene" etwas hinausgehen will ein sehr gutes "Vademecum". Dem Autor ist für dieses Engagement zu danken! Denn aus bloßem Geschäftssinn ein solches Kompendium für nur einen Kameratyp (überdies im Nischenbereich der MFT-Bridgekameras) zu erstellen kann sich nicht rechnen.

The book is good, It’s my knowledge and ability that’s in doubt! I have read the guide, sections of it were great but some of it is difficult to understand! I must point out l am a recent convert to serious digital photography and my previous camera was little more then a digital box camera so time will tell!

I bought this as I couldn't find a book for the FZ72 and knew this would still be useful and it is. I always look for a book similar to this for a new camera as it is so much more useful than the manual
