ARP134-3201 6-Point Water Pump and Thermostat Housing Bolt Kit for Chevy LS1/LS2

Had a broken water pump bolt, figured I’d replace them all.

One of my oem bolts broke in the head while carefully being torqued down to 22 ft lbs which was horrifying, thank God a tiny part of the bolt was poking out of the head so I could remove it by grabbing it with locking pliers and spinning it out.This is the only complete water pump bolt kit I could find online and it is made by a great company, and also had prime, which was perfect as I had a road trip the next day. I knew this wasn't meant exactly for my engine application and the bolts werent exactly the same as oem on the l92, but the threads matched and they hold the new oem water pump perfectly. No leaks or anything, torqued down to 22 ft lbs no problem and the black bolts look nice against the shiney new pump.Thanks ARP for saving my ARSE!

Slightly shorter than OEM, so it was a little annoying getting them lined up & started. I ended up snugging up the old bolts first then replaced them one by one with the new ones, making sure the gaskets stayed in place.Other than that, no issues & they look good!Torque spec & sequence:11-ft/lbs 1st pass22-ft/lbs 2nd passLeft center, right centerLeft lower, left upperRight upper, right lowerThen go around the world

work as well as I expect any ARP fasteners to work.

Everything I've ever bought from ARP is top notch, they do only a few things and do them really well. This bolt kit will secure a water pump to and LS engine, you don't have to have bolts this strong to do that but if I had to buy them anyway I wanted to buy the best hardware I could get, if you think along the same lines then I encourage you to buy these bolts, if not then buy the cheapest thing you can get your hands on and hope for the best.

These bolts worked perfectly when I replaced my water pump on my 2000 Suburban. These bolts are better than the oem ones which I had reused when I did the pump initially. The pump was leaking and that's what prompted me to do the ARP bolts. Once I replaced the oem bolts with the ARP ones, the leaking stopped. I guess either way it's probably good practice to replace the bolts when doing the pump, but if you have to, you might as well get the best.

I had to change my water pump on my 2004 Tahoe z71 5.3 (flex fuel), after reading about other people having bolts break off in the block while installing their water pumps, I didn't want to chance it. Glad I purchased these, the ones that I took out were rusted and covered with orange sealant from the previous owner's install. The black finish looks good against the silver water pump and did the job. Would buy again.
