Just what the doctor ordered, almost. Using for PDT, Photo-dynamic Therapy, aka, "Blue-Light", for pre-cancerous lesion treatment relief. This treatment lasts exactly 16 minutes, 40 seconds, during which a pre-applied topical activating agent is stimulated on and slightly below the skin. During the light stimulated activation, "face-melting" like pain is experienced and the only relief is cooling air while under the light. Some dermatologists have available the Zimmer cooling machines, which I've had the fortune of using, but my current doctor doesn't, ergo, having to provide my own cool air. This little machine does the trick. In fact, I purchased two so that I could hold one on each side of my face during the 16/40 treatment. Also, don't freeze the sponge, as I've heard others suggest, as it won't fit into it's holder due to expansion. What I did to maximize the cooling effect, was to chill the supplied application water bottle and apply to sponge just before going under the light. Works great! Of course after all this said and done, it only stands to reason if this little mighty-mite does such a phenomenal job during such a trying ordeal, imagine what it'd do under normal circumstances and uses. After reading all the reviews on this item I decided to purchase. The bad reviews were right, the motor is so weak it is like a small breeze that someone is using their mouth to create! I brought two from the beginning and ended up sending only one back because it was still in it original packaging. I would have returned the other one, but I lost a piece to it in my rage of how terrible it was! In order for it to be effective it would need for the motor to be 10 times stronger to have a real effect, the motor is weak even when using the wall plug. The only reason I would even give this product a 2 is because the seller was very responsive and they refunded my money as soon as the product arrived back to them from my return. I do have to add that it was 95 degrees F the day I tried it and the index was at about 99 degrees F, so that could potentially be the reason why it stunk so bad. The idea is good, but in order for it to be really effective the motor would have to be stronger. Hope this helps!

I just purchased the Handy Cooler and also purchased the adapter to go with it. If I don't have the batteries in the Handy Cooler and plug the adapter into it, it doesn't work. I don't think the connector fits correctly or is the correct size. Tried to call the company. Maybe I'm an idiot, but if you have something that can run AC or DC and you take out the batteries but plug it into the wall, it should still work, shouldn't it? It runs fine if I take the batteries out and use the USB connector with my laptop, but not with this wall adapter.

This works well, but only for a tiny area. For instance, you can point it at your face and it will cool your skin. However, it does little to provide an overall feeling of comfort in 95 degree weather.

This is a nice addition to the mini fan. (the Handy Cooler) It enables you to not only save on battery cost or recharging, but keep the fan going at high speed at all times without losing any "juice".It's a simple cord, just plugs into the bottom of the fan, and does seem to make the fan work better.The only thing I could think to improve upon it would be if it could be outdoor safe. Sitting by the kiddie pool or pool where water is near, for those who use the mini fan to cool dog houses etc...It would also be nice if it had a longer cord so I could have it reach the treadmill from wall wall plug in.

It's often difficult shopping for an appliance plug/charger online, but the company made it very easy. The first plug I received didn't fit my appliance. Fortunately, the order came with a diagram of different plug sizes and offered to exchange the plug free of charge it didn't fit my needs. Nick Flores (T-Power USA) emailed me and reached out to me a few times before I responded (we had a family emergency). Once I contacted Nick, he made it extremely easy to return the plug and sent me a replacement that fit. Nick made it so easy!

I have no idea why I should have to purchase this separately. These are built for under a dollar if mass produced. They should simply be included with the overpriced and undersized cooler. Like I said in the cooler's review - it works and does what it is supposed to do. However, given the monopoly, it is extremely overpriced for what it is and the fact that they sell one of these SEPARATELY for like 10 bucks is even more ridiculous. I am not sure why the laws against monopoly here in the US do not apply to this product.

I purchased my Handy Cooler and adapter late last May 2012. And THANK GOD I did since the temps here in Texas have soared to the mid-90s at its peak (sometimes 3 digits, too). Since then I gave these items a test run and they both work great. Its true that the adapter makes the cooler work better compared to having it on batteries. I like the long cord since I have to use the cooler from quite a distance. I highly recommend this adapter if you want to save money on batteries. If the cord is too long, there's always the wire twist used on plastic bags or an adequately, small cable bundler.
