DEWALT28592800 Sprocket

The media could not be loaded.  I had an infeed roller that seized on my Wen 6550 12.5 inch thickness planer and caused 2 of the sprockets to break (see pic). The Wen website was out of stock so I came here looking for another option.Another review said this worked with the Wen planer so I thought I would try it out. I want to thank that person for helping me out!!! Hoping this review will also help someone out. Works like a charm! 5 stars! See video.

A broken sprocket kept my Dewalt planer from pulling the wood through the blades. Access to the broken part was simple by taking two screws out of a side panel, removal and replacement of the sprocket was simple with nothing more than a snap-ring pliers. My only reason for a four-star review was the screwy order itself. I ordered two sprockets at the same time -- one for the repair, one for a spare (because the planer uses multiple sprockets). Listing said "two left." I got one sprocket within a few days, but the second one was like a different order, with the delivery date dancing around several times. I finally got it a couple of weeks after the order, one day after the latest promised date but three days ahead of a revised even worse final date. Despite the unusual aspects of the delivery, all is well now.

Very easy to install. Exact fit. Shipping time was very quick. Affordable prices!! Couldn’t be happier had my planner back in business in no time.

Part worked as should. Hopefully it holds up another 20 years like the first one.

Fit my ryobi planer too

I bought a used planer that worked for a few weeks and suddenly started making an awful bumping noise as the wood fed through the rollers. It felt like the chains were slipping over the teeth in the sprocket. The sproket did not look worn but i bought a new set and replaced them all. I cleaned the entire roller assembly as I replaced everything and removed all of the sawdust and it fixed my issue

Bought this sprocket for my Craftsman planer and it fit perfectly so now I can buy few more for spare

Even though this is a DeWalt part |I purchased it for a King Canada planner. it fit perfectly. I tyhen ordered the remaining sprockets and chains.

I liked the fact that the sprocket was exactly what I needed and fit perfectly on my planer.

This was ordered on a gamble, to replace a busted sprocket on an old Craftsman 15" planer. Thankfully it fit and works fine.
