Nice rope
I bought the 1 1/2â rope, itâs a very pretty looking rope.It does smell a lot to whatever lubricant they put on it, I donât mind if want to use outside, but, since Iâm using it inside of the house I do care.I guess the ticker the rope the more smells, I tried letting it outside for a few days, didnât work a lot. Finally I decided to let it soaking in water with a lot of detergent for a day and then let dry, this worked more but not completely, finally I put inside a container and poured a lot of baking soda to absorb the odor for a couple of days, this worked better but not 100%, but, with all these and since it lost itâs lubricant, the shining when away.I tried all these because I really liked it, like I said at the beginning, itâs a very good looking rope.

Strong and sturdy. Lasts three years.
Am using as outside railing. Nice and strong and sturdy and looks great. Lasted three years outside in Maryland climate. Note sure if that's good or not for such ropes. In some sense it's good since I want biodegradeable ropes, and that's what it's doing.

Perfect
I bought this rope for one specific reason. To make fire starters to put in my camping backpack. There's a saying with most things worth having. One is none, two is one. Always be prepared. Fire will save your life.I'm not a survivalist per say, but I have a skiing-fishing-hunting cabin in the woods where we like to go every few weeks. I don't practice survival like Iâm living in the 1800s, or as these preppers do when they donât like to use modern technology. I carry several lighters, wet, matches that light if you wet them, hence the name, several fero rods and through videos and survival books, I saw several people use this method. They were over $6-$10 or more.So bring I'm a NASA engineer, I figured I can replicate that. So I lied, I'm just a guy who only graduated H.S. Regardless, I bought some pipes just a little smaller than the circumference of the rope when it was wrapped tight and thin.I cut 25, one foot lengths of this rope. The commercial version of this states it uses waxed hemp. I didn't wax them folly. I just took an old candle and some crayons and rubbed it a bit into the rope but I didn't fully drench it. I threaded it through the pipe then pulled just about one inch of rope through. I tried several different methods of attempting to light the rope.Lighter, match, empty lighter with the flint still in, then the fero rod and two rocks struck against one another. They all worked. Easily. I did it inside then itt in the wind. That worked but took several tried until I put a dab of hand sanitizer ora spritz of spray sanitizer. They all lit easily. Even the two rocks. It took fifty odd tries, but eventually it sparked in e right place. When the rope is burning, place several small twigs and dry grass or dried cat tails. Anything you use to start a fire.Once the fire is established, pull the rope back into the pipe and the flame goes out. If you have to wet yet to put the flame out, you can use the other end to start more fires.Right now I'm trying to use this and the pipe to make a pipe rope with a spark system or flame to make it into a one piece fire starter.Anyway, this Is a a great product for what I needed it to be. It works well to tie things down with a renewable material. You can also pull the rope apart bring there are several twisted ropes that creates the big one. Pull them apart and use a smaller piper to make more fire starters. That's next. .

Not worth the $5.00 price increase in 7 days time.
The rope is okay for rough purpose use. Lots of frays. was going to deal with that at the price I purchased it at seven days ago but did not reorder due to 22 percent price increase in seven days- not worth it- will go to the kraft store where it is cheaper.

Very good
TrÚs bien, j'aurai préféré un fini un peu plus lisse, délicat ou "chic", mais c'est de la fibre naturelle et ça fait partie du charme ...

Great material to finish our decorative fence
We ordered 300ft to finish off our decorative fence. It is heavy enough it creates its own sag between the posts. Very reasonable price.
