REMEMBER. You CANNOT RETURN IT. I didn't have a problem with that part of the policy. I read all the reviews and all of the 5 star review said they're great and the 1 star Reviews said it was horrible. more 5 then 1 so figured I'd try. Wasted 12$ . I have used Lorain for YEARS and it was always good. Some flavors spot on, some faint but always there. Whether cooked in food or just dropped in a liquid, uncooked food or beverage. Maybe THIS red apple is just a HORRIBLE batch. It smells like chemicals, way, way, way far off in the very back, is a hint, barely, of stinky apple. so I tnought , perhaps, folks were using it incorrectly.. Don't know how that could be but... I put a lot in water. ( about a half teaspoon to 1/4 cup water) Awful, harsh chemical taste, nary an apple flavor AT ALL. I put a little bit ( drops) in water. No flavor at all and still smelled like chemicals... Chlorine maybe? BUT five star reviews can't be this wrong...ok hot tried hot water. Same. Used in an almond bread recipe....nope. Still horrid. My Advice. Don't buy this batch ( with red apple on lable) AT ALL. wait a few years. Use the green apple instead. Thought: the good reviews are from a different batch Of red apple, or they are for the GREEN Apple flavoring. the green is good . more like pollen or granny smith ..a little tart. Think the red was SUPPOSED TO BE sweeter like a red delicious kinda flavor.fail.

MY ⭐️RATINGS: 4⭐️- I would recommend it as the one to get. I make macarons for family & friends. Also for gatherings we have. I wouldn't say I like using the powder flavoring recommended for making macarons because it never tastes as it should or I expect it to. I have had considerable success using many flavors by this brand. All, including this one, taste as they should. I also use: LorAnn CARAMEL Bun SS Flavor, 1 oz bottle LorAnn Raspberry Bun SS Flavor, 1 oz bottle LorAnn Cinnamon Bun SS Flavor, 1 oz bottle LorAnn Pear SS Flavor, 1 oz bottle LorAnn Watermelon SS Flavor, 1 oz bottle LorAnn Grape SS Flavor, 1 oz bottle This flavor tastes exactly as advertised. The PRICE is in the usual range.

When I first got this, it was an amusement, more than a need. Now, my oatmeal, steaks, chicken, chili, Smoked Peppered Applewood Bacon, Lamb, Salmon, fried onions, and Banana Pudding(Yep you heard that right) are not the same! I will continue to use this product, and when used correctly it doesn't just add an apple flavor, it harmonizes with the natural flavors of whatever you put it in, and gives some foundational quality taste I just can't describe. Used alongside smoke, vanilla extract, maple or butter extract, with fried onions, and several other flavors, it's almost as if it "enhances" the flavor of the original item, without overpowering it with apple. A GREAT ADD to any dish!

Open bottle smelled good. Started out with 1tsp as directed by their product pictures for a batch of cupcakes. Couldn’t taste any melon in the bit I microwaved, so added more and microwaved another bit, repeat, finally baked the whole batch with 5tsp because it was almost the whole bottle and still couldn’t taste the melon. After the oven baking them, they have a horrible chemical burning feeling in my mouth. Such a disappointment! Had to throw everything away and can’t sell them this weekend.
