What is the weight limit on this chair? It does not state. Does it support 300lbs, or is it 250lb max?

I'm 6' 2", 200lbs, and it seems quite sturdy to me, however, I have seen chairs fail at the 300lb range after a fewmonths. After looking at it as I sit in it, I don't think I would recommend it for that weight class. The castors maybe too light duty for that. Also, I think the armrests will be far too narrow for you. I have 2" inches on eachside between the armrests and my thighs and I am a slender man.

No, and this is a significantly negative factor if you are accustomed to padded arms. Plus, they slope away from you at an uncomfortable arc, so it can be a problem.

Does pet fur stick to the fabric?

Yes. My little dog finds this chair very comfortable to nap on. I have to make sure my family an I tuck in this chair to avoid our pup from jumping on.

How do you assemble the wheels? The directions imply you just stick them into the base, with no screws or anything. That's not working.

on my chair they indeed just pushed the shaft of the castor into the base of the chair. The castor itself was complete (nothing to assemble or any other hdwr). You do have to push "firmly" to get it in, but they won't fall out if you pick the chair up.
