A few cons prevent this light from being perfect
Just a few changes could make this light perfect.Cons:*No easy to access on switch, if you want to turn it on for an extended amount of time you need to unscrew it open and toggle the on switch. Then to turn it off you need to do the same. Not practical at all.*Motion sensor doesn't keep light on for more than 25 seconds, you have to re trigger it and there is always that moment of darkness before it comes back on*No way to change the auto off timmer, if you want more or less than 25 seconds of light you are out of luck.*Does not feel rugged, plastic is somewhat thin.Pros:*Uses AA batteries, last longer than motion sensor lights that use AAA*Acceptable amount of light, more than enough for my cabinet at night*Motion sensor*Doesn't come on if it's already bright*Has magnets to mount on metal, magnets are strong enough to hold it.*Has cut outs for screw or nail mounting*Has good color rendition, these are not the cheap LEDs that make everything look blue.Edit: I have decided to raise the rating of my review after considering the product for a longer period of time and also comparing it to competitors products.

I am pleased that these lights are bright enough to illuminate my closet shelving, however there are a couple of issues, which I hope the seller will address.First, I used the velcro pieces that were provided, but the lights keep falling off the velcro and crash onto the shelf. I have magnets, so I will try that next.Second issue. Once they are installed, I am having a problem getting them to light up when I need them. It says they are motion sensitive, but when I wave my hand, nothing happens. I have also tried to touch them, walk out of the room and walk back in, and they don't seem to light except when they want to light, and I can't figure out how to get them to light when I need them too.Otherwise, they are a we ll made product and they came quickly. Hoping we can resolve my two issues.

I bought 2 of these for my porch and walkway. It did come with an extra lens. The light is very bright. The extra lens will diffuse the light. The packing box contained a tiny screw driver to remove the tiny screws in case you did want to replace the clear lens with the opaque lens. I did not try it because I didn't think I could get the screws back in. If you have a magnetized screw driver you might want to try it.I did have a little issue with one unit. The switch was a bit finicky. It has 3 settings, off-on-auto. When I installed the battery and tried it out, the on-off settings worked as designed. But on auto, the light would come on when it was bright daylight. I would have to turn it off then put it on, then slowly put in into auto. If I did it too quickly the light would come on and stay on.A suggestion: might the switch settings be on-off-auto help? The off being in the middle eases the transition to the other settings. Then again, maybe not enough units have this problem, so it might not be worth the expense to redesign. The walk way light worked fine. The one on the porch was again a bit finicky. I think it was the one with the finicky switch but am not sure. I did not check. The porch light is on one side pointing at the wall next to the door. It will come on when someone comes up to the door. Nothing else should trigger it. The finicky part comes when it turns on. It will turn on for the allotted time, then it will turn off. But then about a second or less it will turn on again when no one is there. Then it will turn off. It will repeat this cycles for about 5 times before it willcompletely turn off. I watched this happen from a distance so I would not be the cause of the triggering.I only had these a few weeks, so I will have to wait a bit to see how long the batteries will last.Update: I added the fifth star for company customer service. My thanks to Anne. Battery seems to be holding up. Since writing my review, I was contacted by a company representative who read my review. They sent me a replacement light and did not ask for the "bad" item back. The "bad" item was still serviceable, so had not requested a replacement. I appreciate a company that stands by its product. I will recommend this item to friends.

Nice product I bought for my elderly family members which is very helpful for them. The puzzling part is I purchased two orders of three each within a week of each other at $13.48/ea. Buy 4 more devices for the parents 4 days later and the price got jacked up to $15.97/ea for the same product. An increase of $2.49 each is worth it but kind of deceiving to get you pulled in. Don't get me wrong decent product but inflating the price is not what I expected to tell family. Next time there are other products out there much less and most likely just as good.

Versatile light
This is a nice little light that packs a lot of light! I wanted a light that has motion sensors, but only comes on in a room or area that is already dark. These are nice for a hallway or bathroom at night. This is for people who don't want to sleep with a night light on all night, but would like a light once they begin moving about. I was a bit stumped by the extra disc and screwdriver, but apparently the disc is an extra and the screwdriver is needed if you need to replace the disc, Lots of hanging options. You can attach it with the magnets on the back, a small fold out square or with 3m strips. All options are included. I will say, immediately one of the magnets came out, so I super glued it in place. It seems to be a versatile light.
