I really like this mat, but the one i got looks used. we have this in our gym and it didn’t have the white stuff at the back of the mat. it looks like it’s been drag in the floor, and the logo at the back looks like it’s faded. the other side is fine and almost shiny and that’s why i can tell it looks different. the other thing i noticed is that no matter how much wiping i do with water and paper towel, the white stuff just comes back when it dries is this normal? i would like to give this a five star if someone can just address this whole thing.

This is a thin profile yoga mat, but still has some sponge and spring to it to use for Pilates or general activities like stretching. I've been to Pilates classes that use the thicker version of this mat. This thinner profile is just as comfortable for Pilates in my opinion. For yoga, this mat still stretches forward and backward a little under the opposing pressure of a downward dog, for example. I don't mind that, but I think some yogis may prefer a mat that doesn't give at all. The tack of the mat under my hands feet and against the floor is good, but I haven't tested yet under sweaty/Summer conditions. It's very easy to clean.

My fitness club has stacks of these mats for use during warm up. I liked them enough to buy one for home. The mat is not very thick but works perfectly fine for stretching and moderate exercises - it provides enough cushion without disconnecting me from the ground. The mat would likely break down quickly if more vigorous exercises were performed on it.
