Sturdy and functional
I needed a long reach stapler for booklets and magazine format documents that needed center staples (11x17 flat, staple centerline, fold to 8-1/2x11), for low volume intermittent use. Checked many of the low-cost "heavy duty" long-reach staplers (Bostitch, Office Depot, Staples, etc) but all looked flimsy and lightly constructed; most had mediocre reviews listing poor reliability and performance. I have had a Swingline standard stapler forever (the Office Space model) and so decided on this model. I was pleased to find it was built solid and heavy (like the standard model) and performed well, with no jams or problems, even when stapling 40+ sheets (it is rated for 25) with standard staples. Two items to note: 1) the stapler head tends to bounce when released, but as it is a long reach stapler with an extension bar I would expect it to be a bit springy - I just stop it with my hand before loading the next booklet, and 2) It does not staple well when the head is above the papers (rest position) and smacked down so it hits the paper in motion - instead, I press the head down until it contacts the papers, then push hard with the heel of my palm in a quick, firm action. This method ensures the head is steady when pushing the staple through the paper, instead of possibly moving slightly sideways if the pressure is not exactly vertically down. One other positive feature: unlike the other staplers where reviewers noted the paper depth stop did not stay in position, this stop has not moved after setting (8-1/2" depth) since I started using it. The friction of the stop is sufficient to hold it in place against reasonable pressure, although I do not slam the papers against the stop as I try to keep them aligned before stapling. In summary, the perfect stapler for my needs, at a reasonable price!

The Long Reach Stapler GoTo for Professionals
The Swingline Long Reach Stapler is a must have for professional work. It correctly folds and sets the staples every time. The guide is solid and won't move or wiggle. The length gauge is exactly tuned for precision. To staple a 11" paper in the center, then set the gauge to 5 1/2". The best feature is that you can complete the project on the first attempt without trying to guess where the staple will go next and if it will fold correctly. Excellent product!!

Very good!
I've only had the unit a short time so I don't know how it will hold up, but I don't really see why it should get worse. It is solidly built. 4 stars because I don't 'love' inanimate objects.Using it to put together a book, so I'm stapling 8 sheets of paper at a time in the middle. Getting the paper absolutely perpendicular is difficult, but there is a simple fix: put the stapler on top of graph paper aligned with one axis. Then place the paper along the same axis with a check on perpendicular on the other axis. Works quicker than it sounds. The depth gauge works. I was able to get absolutely consistent placement. I'm using the recommended staples, so have had no jams. Very smooth.

Just as I Expected
When I was working, putting together simple booklets was something I did several times a year. When I retired, I discovered that it is a real pain putting together booklets (for parties, grandchildren, etc.) using even the best hand stapler methods. Finally, finally, I said that was enough. Although many kinds of long-neck staplers exist, I stuck with what I knew. This stapler is perfect. It is so easy to use. It saves me a lot of time, and I do not have bent pages, either. My problem now? Finding a place to store it. It is, after all, a long-neck stapler. But worth it!

Time-saving tool that is worth every penny!
Every year I make Advent booklets for my friends. This year instead of tying the folios with needle and wax thread, I used this stapler, and it saved me so much time. I had put off buying one of these staplers because I thought they were a little expensive, but my husband reminded me that my time is valuable too. This stapler has proven to be a wonderful tool--and worth every penny!

Seems Strong and well made.
But for something costing £44.49 I was disappointed that there was no free staples included in the box, so I’ll have to wait until I can get some before I can try it out.

Easy and accurate
Love it. Easy, accurate, strong. Punches through my home made pocket notebooks with ease. I got tired of spending loads of money per notebook for work, so I’m making my own! One piece of cardstock, 12 pieces of printer paper, give it a staple in the middle, some trim if you’re so inclined. I use the 1/4 inch SF4 staples from swingline and they work perfectly for everything.

Works extremely well.
Just finished making 60 - 20 page booklets for students. I set the guide, used 3 staples per booklet and was surprised how easy and fast it was to complete the task. Good quality and uses regular staples. Highly recommended!
