These well-designed, heavy-duty steel landscape staples go into hard clay soil without bending. The two ends of the staple appear to be cut at opposing angles, which makes driving them in that much easier. They are 9 gage, less than 1/4 inch in diameter, and slightly more than 3/16 inch in diameter.Very sturdy steel staples with a flat top. Makes driving them much easier. I had bought thinner landscape staples before that almost every single one bent in my hard clay soil when I was trying to stake down artificial turf. These are great! I still had about 10 that bent, because my hard clay soil is also full of small rocks. But most of them worked great, and I liked them better than the single landscape nails, because these will hold two separate pieces of artificial turf together at the seams.

These stay in the ground and keep the landscaping fabric in place! I am very happy with the quality and the price for all the stakes.

I have used several items from this company. Currently installing 300 ft drainage ditch. Using their non-woven erosion cloth and these ground staples, placing rip-rap rock on top. The staples are strong and the ground cloth resistant to ripping.

These are longer, stronger, and more durable than any staples I bought at the big box store. They hold down weed barrier cloth well.
