CompTIA Network+ Review Guide: Exam: N10-005 2nd Edition

This book is a perfect study companion. It is focused on exactly what you need to pass the exams. It is also a very easy read if you read any of the full "study guides". It gets right to the point and the tools that you get access to along side this are very handy. The flash cards are great and so are the practice exams. This alongside my full guide that I bought I am very confident that I will pass the Network+ exam when the semester is over. (I'm taking the class for the experience and the voucher is included in the price...)Remember what this book is. It is not stand alone at all, you must read atleast most of one of the full guides first! Unless you come from a networking back ground with access to many networking technologies and protocols.Just for reference and maybe this will help somebody. I am a fan of the Sybex books, but for this and when I took the A+ I read the Mike Meyers study guide for the main reference. Mainly because of the cowboy hat he wears in every picture... It works.

This supposedly is to help prepare for the the exam but I didn't feel prepared come test time. I read this three times, did the study work, and did not pass. It is lacking in simple explanation and can be very confusing for the reader. This book does not have enough information to study for the exam. I recommend using another book instead. The material is not up to date with the current exam and some of the jargin is incorrect. I will not be purchasing any future books by this author.

After I got an A+ Certification, after I read Michael Meyers "All-in-One Exam Guide", I thought, I could make a short cut, using this Network+ Review Guide, only. That was wrong. The author does not give explicit explanations for terms, mentioning that it will giving later. I do not need later. I was at 30 page, when I realized, that I do not have neither a schema of whole scope of required objects, nor explanations of objects. I did not see helpful examples to memorize the subject, that he was talking about.So, I returned this book till it consumed my time and left me with no knowledge. I'm going to find something more useful. If you have a scope of Network knowledge and you just need a cursory acquaintance with it, then it might be useful. But do not rely solely on this book. There is no short cuts.

Thanks to this study guide and some other online tools available to me through my school, I passed Network+ on the first time!!I didn't like how the website did not give any of the bonus material that is feature on the back cover. I thought that was a rip off.

I'm currently deployed in Afghanistan and I bought this book because I had decided to test for the NET + here at the Signal University. This book is straight to the point and everything I studied was in the exam. I really recommend this book to anyone! I took my exam today and i passed! :)

My husband needs touchable items when he studies. This has been a great resource for his classes.

This book is a straight to the point and it mirrors the objectives of the comptia net+ exam. I used this in conjunction w/ another netwowrk+ book and free net+ videos online. This is a MUST have.
