Pins in the plug
It’s scary when they said it fit from this year to that year. Cdi looks great and all for my Johnson outboard motor. Part of the wires compared with my original was smaller. Most importantly, the pins in the plug. Mine have 6. The new only have 5. It’s a no go for my boat nor return. Part is my fault I waited too long to install because I was waiting on other parts to come in. The other fault is where ever you get the part from said it should fit your motor. Anyway, hope this help. Good luck.
