Small amount but
The circular container is approximately 7/16” thick by 15/16” wide. Extremely high price unless you buy it from a specific music store that sells it extremely cheap but the postage is super high since they figure that you are there to buy high quality recorders, etc. Since I just started learning the recorder I’ll stick with Amazon for now.The funny thing is, who’s idea was it to include a Starburst with it? Since it is a Japanese product, how about Japanese candy instead? 😑 Or better still, m more wax at a cheaper price. All I have so far is a plastic Yamaha recorder. What can I say? Like the other say, a trace amount goes a long way.

Important for woodwinds
This is a must for any musicians who play woodwinds. I also go through a considerable amount of this product on recorders. It lasts longer on some instruments. I play clarinet, flute, and recorder, and this works well on all three.

It works better than anything but I refuse to use it.
This recorder cream comes in a 2-gram container (0.07 oz) for almost $9.00. It is the best thing to use for plastic recorders, I will give Yamaha that much. Nothing else seems slick enough for the joints. I have tried lip balm and cork grease but both are too dry to use.I have to find an alternative though, because I refuse to pay $126/oz for recorder joint grease. I would do it if I only played soprano recorder because you use a tiny dab for them. But I play all the recorders up to and including bass (Basset,) and I can’t justify the cost when I go through a container of it so quickly. It takes a lot of recorder cream to lube a bass instrument. Maybe I should try using lard? :/

Small but very good for ...
This is like any standard cork grease. This is so small. I bought a stick of cork grease for cheaper and it was just as good as this. But, i thought i would try it again. Now, for rubber parts on instruments like my Roland AE-10 where the mouthpiece goes on, the Yamaha grease is far better than the stick. When using on plastic, it sticks better. The stick is good for cork type of joints on instruments. But that is only my experience and opinion.

recorder cream
i lost the one that came with my recorder. apparently it's important for the sound quality as i'm not squeaking as much as i did without it... lol
