HM DigitalORP-STOR ORP Electrode Storage Solution for Use with ORP-200, 60cc Volume

When you purchase the likes of a HM PH-200, you'll need this product to periodically add more wetting solution to the protective cap which comes with the pH meter. This is the stuff you need. I gave the unit five stars as it's the product you need, made by the manufacture of the HM PH-200, which I have, and is enough to last a long time. No reason to take away a star.The container is a two ounce or 60cc size, about the size of a small aspirin bottle. You need but a few drops to keep your test unit bulb wet. Careful when adding to the test unit protective cap as the solution comes out quite easily as opposed to an expected one drop at a time. In the short, simply add this solution to the cover cap, up to the second set of dots on the cap, and you're good.Note 1. Don't dry the unit after each test use. Some of the spa water the test unit was dipped in will come out of the source of water, coming with the test tip in the process and in doing so, using this test water, the wetting solution will last longer. As long as you don't waste the solution, I suspect the two ounces received, will last a couple of years, if not more.Note 2. You'll also need some calibration solution: "HM Digital pH Buffer Solution." It seems you need to mix the solution up yourself if you want a decent price. HM makes a multi-pack calibration solution pack consisting of twelve pillow packs; 4.0,7.0,10.01 pH. It's advisable to calibrate your unit closest to the pH level you'll be testing. The calibration kit comes with a plastic, screw top container you can use to measure and mix the solution in. You can store the solution in the container for three or four weeks.I hope the above helps.

Keeps the probe assembly moist. Not sure how to tell if it's doing anything more.

It is what it is. It is an ORP storage solution for HM ORP meters. It is not a pH storage solution for HM pH meters. 1 Star because it is incorrectly described here on Amazon. I was sold on the idea it was needed with a ph pen, but it's not. Just rinse your ph pen after using it and you'll be fine. No need to spend money on hype.

good product this should last a long time, it only takes 1 or 2 drops in a sponge in the PH meter to keep the probe good and moist and working accurately.
