Moon Rabbit Gluten Free Ultimate Chocolate Cake Mix, 23.7-Ounce

I bought this to make my birthday cake, which was lemon pudding. It worked really well. Just add extra eggs and the pudding mix and voila. It stayed MOIST for days. Which is unusual for a gluten free cake. They are normally very dry. The texture was soft and fluffy and kind of reminded me of pancakes. Overall, this was a great mix, and yeah it seems expensive, but you have to buy 2 Betty Crocker boxes to make a 9x13 which is about 10 bucks in my area. I think this mix beats Betty Crocker.

This is the best cake mix I've ever had, glutenous or not, and this is coming from someone who makes everything from scratch because I'm a food snob. The flavor is rich and it's dense, yet maintains a wonderful, moist texture in the way a good chocolate cake does. When I say it's dense, I don't mean it's a step away from being a sandy brick, like so many gluten-free baked goods can be. This cake shows that you don't have to compromise and sacrifice your desire for quality baked goods just because you have celiac disease.I am so relieved to have found this mix. The bakery that will be making my wedding cake had a terrible chocolate cake recipe that tasted like I was licking pennies (metallic aftertaste, bleh). I am going to give them this mix to use instead to make things simpler for everyone.

Planning to include this as part of a baking-themed gift. Not sure I can anymore because it came to me so beat up. It's a soft cardboard paper bag which feels like it will tear any second. The taped seal had torn and some powder had escaped the package. It certainly doesn't look like the crisp, clean packaging in the image.

This is the best company I've found for gluten free mixes. I've tried a lot of them and they can be gritty or VERY dry. Not this one. This cake was better than a lot of the gluten-filled cakes I used to eat. It was very moist and delicious. Nobody knew it was gluten free! This is great b/c now my kids don't even know that I've switched them to gluten free, too! I've found the same quality in all of their mixes. Anything by Moon Rabbit is good-to-go in my book.

My guests raved about this cake!I made this cake for my daughter's 5th birthday party. The children gobbled it up and asked for seconds. The adults said they didn't even know it was gluten-free. Even my husband, who's been testing my gluten-free trials for years said it was the best gluten-free cake I'd ever served.It mixed easily, baked evenly, and it's even yummy after being stored in the fridge for a whole week!

This mix is beyond amazing. The best gluten free chocolate cake mix in existence. My girlfriend is gluten intolerant and she absolutely raved about a cake I made using this mix. I also made a cake for work and everyone loved it and wanted the recipe. This produces a delicious moist chocolate cake. You won't regret it!

I'll admit that I am new to the world of gluten free foods, having just discovered my infant son's gluten allergy, but I found this cake mix to be a bit of a let down. The texture was so odd and grainy/dry, that it made eating more than a few bites very difficult. The flavor was lovely (a bit like a sugar cookie), but I couldn't get past the density of the cake itself. Will keep looking for that holy grail gluten free cake mix!

Moist and delicious!! Kept on tasting the batter before I even made it. Also, adjusted the ingredients to make it dairy free with coconut milk and non dairy butter- this did not adversely affect the taste. Very happy with the final product!
