BLACKHAWK Omega Elite Tactical Vest Number 1 - Black

Excellent assault vest, tons of rooms for magazines, its very sturdy and high quality. You can tell its build to last. I did a lot of research before buying this and I am totally happy I spent few extra dollars for this incredible vest.

I really love this vest!! Once you get it adjusted to your settings and body size it is absolutly perfect. It makes going to the range or just out to shoot that much easier and more fun. It especially makes things easier when doing tactical drills. Especially when this vest is combined with the other blackhawk leg holsters and belt to make a complete system. The only slight issue that threw me off was that the M4 magazine pouches where not as flexable as I thought. It will literally only hold one in each pouch.

Very well made and heavy duty tactical vest....I would say it meets milspec levels. YES you can absolutely fit 2 standard milspec M-4 mags in EACH pocket! I had no problem inserting 2 to each using the method I was taught in the Marine Corps....each mag upside down inserted side by side. To be on the safe side and to ensure smooth extraction if the vest got wet I have at least one mag per pocket fitted with a Magpul speed plate. I am 5'9" 240 and had no problem adjusting the vest to fit my frame with plenty of room for further adjustments once I start adding levels of clothing to compensate for weather and temperature increases. I am very happy with my purchase and shipping and delivery was very fast.

I ordered and received the vest at the usual Amazon speed and ease. I had tried a few other vests and chest rigs, none of which were ever just right. I struck gold this time, the Blakchawk Omega Elite however IS the one I'm looking for. Great quality, easy to adjust to a guy my size; I'm 6'3", 240 and it fits great. Other features like the 6 pockets AR pockets, drag handle and iner pocket for a hydration unit make it just right for law enforcement use or tactical training, or hunting/sporting applications as well, heck this vest would even be great for the zombie apocalypse.

Vest is exactly as expected. High quality construction and materials. This is my second Blackhawk vest and find they consistently deliver high value gear for the money.

Very well made, highly functional. Offers even weight distribution. Not sure if you can get (2) mags in each pocket, maybe with a little work. But I love it. Highly recommend it.

I bought this vest for every-day-wear at work and was very disappointed. The Shoulder strap adjustments were not adequate for my needs because I could not get the vest to keep the duty belt at the exact waist level (for maximum comfort). I found a CONDOR vest with the EXACT configuration and bought it 2 weeks later. The Velcro shoulder strap adjustment was amazing (triple Velcro) and positioned the vest perfectly for me (duty belt at exactly the level of trouser belt). The Blackhawk vest is LARGE and definitely made for big torsos. If you have a smaller torso, go with the CONDOR Elite Tactical Vest. it has the exact same pocket configuration and the Velcro adjustments make all the difference in the world. It is also a lot cheaper, and the quality appears to be the same. I have always been a Blackhawk fan, but in this case, the Condor wins handily.
