I purchased several of these a couple of years ago as gifts and was left with an extra one. I ended up using the last one myself and was very pleased with the look and feel. In fact, I was so impressed that I recently purchased a few more in different colors. I especially like the purple one. These pashminas are tissue thin but soft, so it drapes beautifully. It can be used as a muffler under your winter coat, or it can be draped on the shoulders for added warmth indoors (instead of a sweater), or even as an evening shawl if the weather is not cold outside. Whatever you use it for, it really dresses up an outfit and looks classy -- not tacky or cheap in any way. These do have a slight sheen, but not enough to make it too flashy or inappropriate for day wear, and they can be dressed up or down.One thing that does bother me about this recent order is that the scarves are not labeled with the fabric content, and outer wrapper was not labeled at all, so I wonder if I'm getting the same thing I ordered two years ago. However, they feel the same and look the same, so I suppose this is a minor issue.

First, I ordered this pashmina and had it sent to my sister as a Christmas gift, so I never actually saw it myself. I got a call from her gushing over how luxurious it looked and felt. I got her the sand color. She said it had a sheen to the fabric and she said she would have never bought something so nice for herself. My sister rarely acknowledges a gift with an email, much less calls me about how much she likes it. So, I have to give this 5 stars just because I really believe she loved it. I've seen some bad reviews on this pashmina and maybe the color makes a difference in the way the item looks and feels. Some dyes do change the texture and appearance of fabric. All I can say is the sand color pashmina was a hit and I feel good about the purchase. Oh, and the shipping was fairly fast. Took about 6 business days to my sister in Texas.

I've never written a review before, so that should say something about how AWFUL these scarves are.I ordered two of these scarves for Christmas; a black one for me and a purple one as a gift for someone else. I was so excited that I was going to be able to give (and keep for myself also) a nice pashmina scarf as a preseent. I read up on Pashmina before I bought it, and also read the reviews here that said the scarves were great.Needless to say,I just recieved my package 30 minutes ago and I opened them. The black scarf was in a bag clearly marked "Pashmina" in huge letters. The purple one was in a plain clear bag. I took the black one out and put it on to see what it was like. I wore it for about 90 seconds and then I started to itch like crazy. It was awful. I looked for a label and there isn't one. The scarf, like the other reviewer indicated, is thin and see through. The fringe is ratty and awful looking. I took it off and put it back in the bag. I took out the purple one and looked at it. The bag is NOT labeled "Pashmina" and I was even more surprised to see a tag stitched into the scarf that reads "100% Acrylic Made in China". If I had wanted a 100% Acrylic scarf, I could have gone to Wal-Mart and purchased one for half the price and it would have been significantly bigger and softer.The seller should be ashamed of themselves for saying these are Pashmina. Granted for $11, its buyer beware, but still, I think the seller is at least guilty of false advertising. I'm returning these products.
