Wow! This thing actually works. Wasn't sure it would, but works 100% for me. Will update if it dies but I have no reason to think it is. recommend and cheap. TECH INFO: version SCPH-39001. brouser 1.2., cd 1.2, dvd player 2.12U, and VIDEO IS COMPONENT VIDEO OUT Y Cb/Pb. Cr/Pr., screen size 4x3. Before claiming this does not work, change your system settings to this VIDEO MODE. Hope this helps you. UPDATE: bought 2nd one for my second PS2. still happy. Will never be 1080dpi since PS2 is 20+ years old.

Worked great. Was very happy. Easy to set up and no issues. The adapter doesn't power itself through the HDMI connection. You have to use the little cord that comes with it and connect to one of the USB connections on the laptop in order to get it to work, but once you do that you're good to go. EZ PZ

I wish I could give it 5 stars because you can tell instantly how much cleaner the lines are on an hdmi tv. We are talking about a system that’s over 20 years old and the ace combat trilogy (which I bought this for) looks amazing. Only downside is, the screen goes back for 2-3 second every once in a while. It’s not everytime I play, but it seems like if it does it once it’s going to keep doing it. I tried a separate power source using an iPhone 5v 1 amp adapter, same issue, tried using a 5v 2.1 amp adapter, same thing. Maybe I just got a bad one, but I got this one particularly because the headphone output. For the money I wasn’t expecting much but it does work, except those black outs. When you been chasing a plane and finally get a lock and it goes black, I have to pause it real fast and then resume but at that point your out of rhythm tracking. I play with the old flight stick 2 for ps2 seeing I can’t afford a gaming computer to play dcs or warthunder with a better HOTAS. Even the ones for ps4 and 5 and junk, thrust master and Hori, which is sad cause I love the Hori flight stick 2 I use, but the new ones just have such bad reviews I can’t buy a $200+ HOTAS for one AC7 game.

I had no issues getting this to work on a phat model ps2. The picture quality was significantly better than any of the RCA to HDMI converters due to how it utilizes the output signal and I don’t have any complaints about the sound. Can’t go wrong at this price. It’s sturdy, but I would still be careful as it sticks out pretty far and if you aren’t careful, could damage the output port.

Was so excited to get this and start playing my old PS2 games. I followed the directions and also watched several videos on how to install. The install was super simple. I was able to get the PS2 initial start up screen to come up but was getting "no signal" on my tv when I installed the game. I turned it off to start over again and now the system won't work at all. Can't even get the PS start up screen to come up. My smart tv actually has AV component inputs so I tried it that way and it did work but the picture quality is terrible. I reinstalled the converter and tried again and same thing happened as before--NOTHING. Cannot get a response from linkfor either. BOOOOOO!! Try another product.

Any one giving this a negative review is lying ! This is one of the better converters. I tried 3 different ones ranging in price. This by far exceeds all expectations! If you have a modded ps2 it’s even better. Allows you to force 1080i. But even with out a mod it works great. Love it so much I bought another for the living room ps2. It needs power from usb or power plug. 3.5 not needed for hdmi tv hook up. Just buy it you won’t be disappointed if you have a newer tv.

I’ll be honest — when I first ordered this little LiNKFOR PS2 to HDMI converter, I wasn’t expecting much. I’ve been burned before by mysterious black boxes that promise “Full HD experience” and deliver something that looks like a pixelated watercolor painting. But this one? It actually works. Like, really works. I plugged my ancient, slightly dusty PS2 into my modern TV (which looked at the composite cables like they were ancient relics), connected the HDMI, powered it up, and boom — there was my childhood, back in glorious 720p. Sure, it’s not magically turning PS2 graphics into PS5 visuals, but it definitely sharpens things up and makes colors pop nicely. There’s a teeny bit of fuzziness if you sit two inches from the screen, but if you’re doing that, you’ve got bigger issues than image quality. Setup was hilariously simple — plug it in, flip the switch, and suddenly Tony Hawk’s Underground was back to its full, nostalgic glory. No software, no weird settings, just pure plug-and-play magic. One tip: Don’t forget to power it with the included USB cable. I spent 10 minutes wondering why it wasn’t working before realizing it needs juice. (Yes, I read instructions last. Don’t judge me.) All in all, for the price of a takeout meal, I can now relive my PS2 days without dragging out an old CRT TV. Totally worth it.
