My title says it all: this hat is very light, yet the brim is stiff and stays in place, not flopping around. The material is light enough to let it breath on those scorcher days. The neck protection keeps the sun off my neck, yet it doesn't seem to retain any heat or otherwise make my neck uncomfortable. It's exactly the hat I was hoping it would be. The ability to tuck the neck protection up in a pocket if you so desire is just a bonus feature of the hat.

I work outside during the day and this helps protect from the sun. Pretty comfortable, cool, and durable.

My 14 year old son is working this summer around the neighborhood doing lawn work. He needed sun protection and this is the ticket for him. The hat is lightweight and breathable. It fits well and is easy to keep on. Great hat for the money! Seems to be durable. Colors to choose from so you can find your choice.

Spent a week hiking with this hat and it worked as you would expect: the broad brim keeps the sun off your face and, combined with the neck cloth that drapes from the back, your neck. When it was windy, and it was frequently windy, cinching up the string under my chin kept the hat on my head and was plenty comfortable.

Already used it hiking and camping, and it works great whether you are hiking in the rain or under the hot beating sun shine, it’s a great cover for your head and very breathable at the same time. Love the back neck protector to prevent sun burns or from big bites, and spider webs, very good protection and so light and can easily be carried in one’s pocket or in the hiking bag, and it dries so fast, thank you.

Excellent hat. Light and comfortable. I had been wearing baseball caps but they do not provide enough coverage in the sun. This hat is great for sun protection for your face, the back of your neck and head area. Fid to purchase two more!!!

This is a great hat. Perhaps not the most fashionable, but if you're looking for sun protection this is a good choice. The hat is light weight, has mesh around your head so it breathes well, and if it's really sunny you can use the optional neck protector. The wide brim alone offers good sun protection, but if the sun is beating down, unroll the neck protector and give yourself some more shade. Perfect for the beach, or outside work or play. I hate slathering on sun screen, so this offers protection without that greasy feeling. My head measures 23 inches around, and it's a good fit with the elastic band all the way out. I'd say I'm at the limit of comfort though. I person with a 23.5 or 24 inch head may be okay, but anything larger I think would be too tight. If you have a smaller head, then no worries.

Bought this hat for use on my allotment. It is a well made Hat with a large Brim and ventillated top that keeps your head cool. The addition of the Neck Flap is useful when working bending down or kneeling. Highly Recommended have purhased a second one for use when going out on Hot Days

I was unsure whether this would fit my head as I'm 193cm and have a thicc head. The bloody thing actually fits, and is comfortable enough to wear for 8 hours straight. The back flap could be a bit longer to fully cover my neck, so 4.75/5 stars. Still worth every penny
