Great blade
A nice, thicker kerf blade for hardwood cuts. Like doors

Great blade to use with the 6.5" Wen Track Saw
Bought this to use with my 6.5" Wen Track Saw, has been working very well with nice crisp cuts and no tear out on 3/4" birch ply. Don't know about longevity rating (so I'll put 5 for now) as I've only been using the blade for a few days but have been making a lot of cuts.

Very Nice Cut Quality
The original blade on my Makita track saw started giving me problems while cutting through 5/4 white oak. The cut was coming out angled with the bottom end kicking away from the saw 3-5 degrees. (Yes, I verified that the blade was square to the bottom plate) I was getting the same results even after making the same cut in several shallower passes. I removed the blade, cleaned it until the teeth sparkled then reinstalled it. It was slightly better but still burned the edges and wanted to cut on an angle. It was incredibly frustrating getting such poor results with a blade that still felt “sticky” sharp. After much research I settled on this blade. I knew the kerf was wider than the original blade and that the saw might struggle more and the battery life would suffer but my hope was that the saw plate would be stiffer and hopefully eliminate the blade drift in thicker hardwood. That’s exactly what happened! The wood in the photos is 5/4 rift sawn white oak. I cut it in two passes. Zero burning and 90 degree edges that are so smooth I couldn’t believe it. This is my blade of choice now and I highly recommend it.

Thicker blade that won’t cut into your tracks
I’ve tried many blades claiming to be “thin kerf”. It’s fine if you plan on only cutting material 1/2” or less. But anything thicker those type of blades will warp and you’ll end up wandering into your tracks. Go with thicker blades like this one and you’re good to go!

More accurate than stock blade
I bought this to replace the "stock" blade that came with my 36V Makita track saw (that's the black blade that has all sorts of stuff on it about how it is super efficient). The stock blade was very thin, and for quick cuts it actually did very well. However, after I made enough cuts to need to recharge the batteries, I noticed that the wear strip on the track was kind of chewed up, even though I had been careful to start the saw, plunge it slowly, and cut at a reasonable speed.Swapping to this blade made a considerable difference. The plate itself is about twice as thick, as are the carbide teeth. The saw will likely make half (or fewer) of the cuts it could make with the really narrow blade, but the wear strip is dead straight still without nicks in it. Battery life doesn't matter much to me on this saw since I use it to break down plywood sheets at home, not full days of work on a job site. I end up charging both batteries maybe once a month. It is nice that this blade has the 165mm (6.5") diameter with a 20mm arbor. You can get other high performance blades from Freud (and others) but many with the 20mm arbor are only 160mm, which makes the scoring cut feature not work.

Best Track/Plunge saw blade period
This blade is the key to the best track/plunge saw cuts you have ever made. I run a cordless Makita saw, and this is the best blade I have used. All other blades are too thin.
