Vivitar Aquashot Underwater Digital Camera

This is not a quality camera. It's 10+ yr old technology, but for $10, my kids are happy. The pictures are grainy, you have to plug the camera in to download the pics (no memory card), and the waterproof case cracked when they were using it in the tub. If you're looking for a cheap camera for your kids to take pictures you'll eventually delete, this is the one! Oh, and it wasn't the cute yellow color--plain blue.

the door hatch is not tight enough to keep water out of the inner camera; I had to fixed it with special water proof tape and strap.

Good value for the money. If you want to take pictures on the beach, lake, or river, without worrying about messing up your good camera, this is a reasonable solution.

While I was on vacation in Tahiti, this camera filled up with water as soon as I put it under water. When I returned to the US I tried to return the item but was advised the return period expired. Don't ever buy this item.

I bought this camera for my daughter to use on vacation. When she took it out of the packaging it fell apart. Cheaply made product. Not Happy and would not recommend.

I had one of these years ago. Did I get what I expected for such a low price? Yes. I had told friends that I swim in the ocean about 1/8 to 1/4 mile out and do a kilometer. No one commented. I knew what that meant. I got one of these for $20. I suspected the seal could be improved so I put some olive oil on the contact services. I took pix of my journey including a seagull who rested on the water near me. And my feet underwater. I had m it on a clumsy lanyard with the camera stuffed in my pocket. If I had lost it I hadn't lost much.Then I edited and emailed them. Then in the fall when we met again a friend said, "That was a crazy thing to do, but I like it 'casue I'm crazy, too."I don't wear a watch doing physical work because I might have to crawl and could splash paint or mglue. I don't keep a phone with me for the same reason. This camera was perfect. I could send a pic to the boss (who had another job) of broken items or my work. Blurry but as the saying goes, worth 1000 words.I carried it in my car. I sent pix of a few unusual things like broken water mains. If i stepped out and it got rained on, it could handle. Crushed or stolen or grabbed by some "I TOLD YOU NO PIX!"-guy, it's cheap!I think I'll get a couple next month.NOTE: Some inept guy here said it wouldn't work with Windows 10, probably because the program wouldn't load. I never bothered using the disc it comes with. When you plug in a camera to the USB port you will see it installed as a new drive. The pictures are in there and any OS has free tools for photo editing that are more than adequate. Unless you have a camera made over 20 years ago, they don't need a driver to get at the pictures.

software is so old it would not work on my computer. i returned the camera

This camera allowed us to take shots when we wouldn't dare pull out our expensive cameras for the fear of them getting damaged. It can go for a swim and get dropped on the floor. Takes great pics in/under the water.Also wanted to add one great thing about this camera, we left it outside overnight and it rained. It was really a relief to know that my camera didn't get ruined simply because I forgot to bring it in after swimming!The kids are having a great time using this camera, I may have to go ahead and order a second one! It is really holding up to being roughly handled. My son uses the camera 1st above the water then underneath and then above again.The pictures came out surprisingly clear! I'll add some sample photos to the product gallery as soon as I get them...
